Best game for United so far. Excellent work rate, he pressed, competed and did some great passes. Wilder knows what he is doing!

Prematch Wilder said he had been injured just after he first arrived. That probably explains why there was an apparent lack of effort, it could have been due to match fitness. He certainly has pace and an excellent shot and I now see a glimmer of hope that he will turn out to be an excellent signing.

Played decent the last couple of games, which is far easier to say when you're winning granted.

He's showed quality at times, that pass from Bamford against the pigs, Cannon controlled it wonderfully and will think he should have converted I'm sure.

Speaks well, and knows what's expected of him now. I am all for him cracking on and doing well.

He's been better, but he's set such a low bar.
Should have put away that one from the Seriki cross second half though.

This new Tom Cannon is something of a revelation. Not sure where it came from considering there were so few signs earlier.
Maybe he really was carrying an injury, along with Campbell and Ings which explains our torrid goal tally.

The metamorphosis of Tom Cannon coincides with a massive uptick in form as the team now suddenly looks like they’re gelling across the board.

Early days yet but there are so many good signs over the last two games…

Ben Mee is looking imperious and the whole defense suddenly seems controlled and has lost the panic we saw earlier.

Mee is developing a nice solid partnership with Tanganga who is also suddenly showing what an aerial danger he can be at the top end.

O’Hare is in fabulous form. Harassing, pressuring with lots of glorious flicks and feints. A joy to watch. It’s also ridiculous how many headers he wins for a 4’ 6” fella.

McCallum has really stepped up and his set piece deliveries are excellent.

Brooks and Seriki are both showing great athleticism, pace and power and their link play is a real danger down the right.

I always thought that Peck was playing well even during the bad times but he’s now showing what a tremendous prospect he is.
Be interesting to see how many more goals he can contribute now he’s broken the seal.

When you add in the emerging dark horses like Riedewald, Bamford and Ings, plus a fit and smiling Gus Hamer and the long-awaited return of Arblaster, things are finally looking up it seems.

Also have to point out that Wilder seems to be becoming more of a cerebral type manager as he gets longer in the tooth. He deservedly is looking on with some satisfaction at the team he has rebuilt here. Great job by him and his staff over the International break.

The game against Leicester will be a real measure of the progress, and I’m finally looking forward to it.

Thought he was excellent last night there was a few occasions he was asking the ball to be put through between the centre back & full back but bloody Peck held on too long , Arblaster has this in his locker & Peck needs to be quicker in those situations .
I thought him and Bamford linked up very well , his workrate & closing down was excellent .. well done Tom .. looks a different player ⚔️⚔️

we will see saturday lunchtime how far weve come for me the turning point was coventry away a lots been said about how poor coventry were first half in that game but no credit was given to us coventry had to go up a couple of gears 2nd half and but for davies we could easily have come away with a point

Will bel a good depot of where we are, but they aren't playing well and their centre backs are poor, we can get something from Saturday's game

i would love peck to be braver on the ball he often picks the safe pass sideways wilder needs to encourage him to be more positive and look for the forward pass

I'm not convinced although I admit last night was one of his better performances in a Blades shirt.
For me, he still doesn't hold the ball up when it's played to his feet and his reaction is to instantly play the ball back to whoever passed it to him. Similarly, I feel he often plays the ball 'blind' in that when he gets the ball, he plays it into an area where he must think a team mate will be, but he doesn't look to check. I think in both cases it's because he's afraid of contact from the opposition.
The best thing he did was in the second half he chopped back and got past a defender before getting blocked out. That's the only time I've seen him do that.
I genuinely hope he overcomes this and becomes the £10m player we paid for.
