Well done Neil.....

Not that bad and he did well in 2003 but you tell us how many clubs have given their managers 7 years to get promotion.

Maybe McCabe should come out now and say Micky has the Job for another 6 years .....

Unless we lose at home to the Porkers first game 0 - 5, then Megson has the Job

Six more years of those near-suicidal interviews, thank the Lord the season ticket has bitten the dust.

there was a steady imporvement in this 7 yrs until we lost micheal brown ,there were some very exciting times under warnock but until the season where we finished 8th (i think ) when he demanded a higher wage budget and guaranteed promotion he wasnt competing with the big boys in the championship

Some fans are wetting their pants over Warnock all over again because they're seeing QPR go up and us go down and that's pretty much all they can see.
They forget the absolute shyte he served up a lot of the time at the Lane, they don't want to look at his managerial record in the round and they're still stuck with the small-time mentality that was so perfectly underlined by Warnock's attempts to deal with life in the Prem.
C'est la vie, tis the real Blades Way.

So any fan who thought Warnock was a success is stuck with a small time mentality?

How patronising!

The only people truly patronised at the Lane are the fans, or is that True Blades.

I thought Sir Neil did alreight ........ even in the Premiership..........if only Rob Hulse hadn't got his leg broken.

oh i get it so by taking a club to its highest position in a decade was under achieving ?

Len has questioned his record as a manager......just hope he can back that one up!

:D

Warnock is up there with Bassett for me.
We should never have sacked him and I hope McCabe rues the day he did. Yes some of the footy was bland under him,but god some of it was brilliant.
Well done Neil, it would appear to some you have "fluked" another promotion.

Don't think Lambert's got 6 or 7 promotions yet but his achievement this season is greater than any in Warnock's career.

The double promotion with Notts County is a bigger achievement than getting Norwich up twice

I can't fault his achievement this season but some of the waxing lyrical about the man is borderline ridiculous. He should have been binned off when we got promotion had McCabe had a proper business head. He had several years at the lane building and getting it arse about face before we got up.

He also shit his pants in January transfer window when he should have gone and got a BT or the like and put his neck on the line rather than spunking millions around the team on players like Fathi, Sheltoss and Stead. And who can forget Seck? What a signing that man was!!

My problem with Warnock is its always his promotion and everyone elses relegations. Mans a twat of the highest degree. He isn't and never was fit to lace Bassetts boots.

I 'd argue that the triple assault season was something of an achievement, with the squad that he had at his disposal.

I'd argue that the triple assault was great to be a part of but dished up fuck all in the real world.

What was the achievement, promising so much and delivering so little? Yeah I guess you're right, it was fabulous

At the start of that season what would you have predicted?

With the squad that he had, reaching both semi's was a fabulous achievement

we were pretty unlucky to lose them both as well thanks to some top refereeing

Though you're intent on spouting complete shite, don't start believing you're anywhere near taking the title from Len....:)

That's fair comment - I'd agree with that.
.

LOL - Roughly translates into "bollocks, I wish I'd done my homework. Warnock proves me wrong yet again".

I love to watch Sheff Utd and if you didn't enjoy some of the unforgettable games we had under Warnock ,you're following the wrong club.

Indeed. There are a large number of teams who would love to have a season like we had in the "triple assault", even if we did ultimately end up with nothing. Some good memories!

yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well done neil. IS HARRY BASSETT STILL KICKING AROUND DOIN NOWT. LETS GET DAVE BACK, ANOTHER TRIED AND TESTED MANAGER, THIS LEAGUES RIGHT UP HIS STREET, HE WILL GET US OUT OF THE SHITE WE FIND OURSELVES IN NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neil Warnock and the slavish and tedious slathering over him is so emblematic of what's wrong with United.
A small-time manager who's managed two whole relegation seasons in the top flight of English football is looked upon as a managerial genius.
Pretty bleedin' sad for a club the stature of Sheffield United.
Some fans just like being on their knees, scrabbling around for crumbs I guess, doffing their caps for whatever's thrown their way.

if any of that were true wouldnt mickey adams being ferried around in an open top bus as we speak?
if you cant enjoy supporting your club at the height of its successes ,then you shouldnt really be supporting that club and if those successes arent enough for you then maybe supporting a more succesful club is the only option

In the history of internet forum's, Len has NEVER enjoyed supporting the club. Luckily for us, his is the way though. No really.

Judge, your attitude and those who share it will always bring United down.
And for your information, Neil Warnock was nowhere near the 'height of United's successes' in my lifetime and certainly nowhere near in United's history.
Get off your knees, we're not a tinpot club we just act like one.

well in my lifetime warnock and bassett were the only managers who did anything with the club and bassett had to buy players out of his own pocket
so it seems to me promotion to the prem is an over achievement in my lifetime

if i go to the game and we play well ,im happy if we play poorly im down ,how is that being on my knees ?
