Well done Neil.....

Judge, your attitude and those who share it will always bring United down.
And for your information, Neil Warnock was nowhere near the 'height of United's successes' in my lifetime and certainly nowhere near in United's history.
Get off your knees, we're not a tinpot club we just act like one.

Aye, who'd want to be in QPR's position with Warncok when we can just get up off our knees and reclaim out rightful place in English football. Just Exeter and the like to get past next season.

It's your bloody negativity that's so tiresome Alco.
Always scrabbling round looking for excuses for under-achievement, for failure, for mediocrity, for a denial of the club's potential.
It's the incredibly small-time mindset which is mind-numbing.
Sheffield United are the biggest under-achievers in English football and all you can do is look for excuses.

But more importantly how are William and Amy enjoying having a Premiership dad?

Anyone who has read his book can't help to see the awful man he is.

For anyone who hasn't read it:-

Man plays for some clubs, it starts well but by the end everyones a wanker but Neil.
Man gets several Managers jobs, they start well but by the end everyones a wanker but Neil.

The end.

So you do do stand up too!

Sadly, there are a lot of people who you wouldn't particularly want to enjoy a few pints in the sun with, it doesn't stop them being successful at what they do though :)

Ah, another story. Does Mr Warnock love himself more than anything else - probably. Are many top managers nice people - probably not. Who cares though?

But he's neither a top manager or a nice person.
Fatal combination.

Yes shit manager that warnock ,never took us to the premiership ,never won promotion ,never took us to the play-off final ,never took us to the Fa semi-final or the league cup semi-final ,never doubled the gates , never presided over the academy ,never intoduced top players like Jags ,Brown and Kenny ,never gave us some of the most exciting games ever at the Lane ,never did the double over the grunters. Yes shit manger that warnock(colin sorry)and such a nasty man. That was the unfortunate thing ,he didn't do it for some of you 'fans' ,he did it in spite of you ,but never mind you and Sean got your way ,and look where we are now. Thanks a fucking lot ,at least we won't have to put up with some of you now you have said you wont be coming next year , failure has some benefits at least.

Steve Jobs is apparently a bit of an arsehole too but I wouldn't mind having a bit of his success.

I was never that arsed when he got the sack & i think we got rid at the right time.

Infact. All out recent woes can be traced back to him in his Jan transfer policys.

Why wasnt an adequate replacement found for Hulse...Even someone on loan? Beattie?

Don't forget Hulse wasn't injured until March.

But on the general point i agree that his January transfer dealings, with the exception of stead & Kilgallon, were shit.

Neil Warnock and the slavish and tedious slathering over him is so emblematic of what's wrong with United.
A small-time manager who's managed two whole relegation seasons in the top flight of English football is looked upon as a managerial genius.
Pretty bleedin' sad for a club the stature of Sheffield United.
Some fans just like being on their knees, scrabbling around for crumbs I guess, doffing their caps for whatever's thrown their way.

"Neil is a great bloke and an outstanding manager. His players love him and the job he has done at Queens Park Rangers is nothing short of miraculous." - 8th May, Blackpool manager Ian Holloway (not a United fan, not on his knees, has independent opinion).

I'd like to ask the All Seeing Eye which managers have been more successful than Bassett and Warnock?

Until 1976, I would hazard a guess United spent around two thirds of the club's existence in the top flight of English football.
That's about right for a club of United's size, stature and tradition.
Since then, we've spent 5 years out of 35 in the top flight which is an utter disgrace and embarrassment to the club and the city.
And that is why fans doing cartwheels over a guy who took 7 years to get United promoted and then immediately got us relegated is equally embarrassing and very, very clearly part of the problem.
No sense of pride, no ambition but plenty of acceptance of shyte.
In the meantime, clubs smaller than United or of similar stature prosper.
It's been said many times before but until United manage themselves properly and enable the club to punch its weight, we're going to carry on wallowing in shyte.
If fans want to wallow in it, that's fine. But they need to recognise they're contributing to the culture of failure.

Never relegated us with cowardly away formations and wasting a considerable transfer budget on crap, thus starting our current decline

oh, wait a minute...

Ahh one of the "better now all the glory hunters have gone and I can have a full row to myself" (take row as row of seats or row as in argument, either are true).

Everyone seems to have forgotten his orchestration of the Battle of Bramall Lane and how he hooked Suffo and Santos out the club to save his own arse. Mans a disgrace of an individual. So he gets promotion but at what price? Everyone hates your club and eventually it all ends in tears because every promotion is promptly followed by a relegation. And what a fuss he makes in the process. Referees, other managers, his own Chairman, other members of the board. Everyones fault but his. Thats not success in my book, thats a self obsessed arsehole who bounces from club to club blaming everyone for his failings and taking all the credit for himself.

One (two parted) question so far as I am concerned. What division were we in when he took over and what division were we in when he left? You could also button on the question what percentage of time did we spend out of that division but I think that might overload some.

Mans average at what he does but because he shouts a lot he gets the media attention.

As for the argument we had some good times under him, you would bloody hope that in several years the sun might shine a little. I remember some good times under Blackwell, away at Charlton being one of the best as a Blade. Even Adams has the Leeds and Forest victory to his name and he is shit.

Warnock and his selection policy are based on throw enough shit at a wall and eventually some of it sticks.

If that post is serious ,it is a very blinkered bitter and twisted effort. I don't give 2 fucks what anyone else thinks about Sheff Utd ,in fact I prefer us not to be liked. You are comparing some of the times under Warnock to victories against Charlton ,Leeds and Forest , jesus ,maybe I do want that row of seats to myself.

>in fact I prefer us not to be liked
i'm the opposite.. it gets us more penalties and less sendings off (see barcelona, norwich)

Don't really agree with that. It feels like we've had less awards for offences that warranted penalties in recent years. Whereas there was a time when a defender only had to breathe on Jack Lester and we were awarded an immediate penalty...

But you didn't answer the question.

What question.

Your an intelligent bloke Sitters, its within your capability. Its something people are always banging on at Len for not doing. Answer the question.

Before it all ends in tears, I think it's fair to say Warnock is the best manager we have had in the recent past. If we'd have been run better, I think Spackman would have been better and I think S'OD would be too given the chance.

Agreed, but that's several possibles and one definite. Throw in 6 other promotions, and those questioning him being a top manager do look rather silly.
