How’s it go, Villa gifted em two goals, Villa had an off day, blah blah blah.
I hate those deluded fuckers with a passion.
Swfc shitting themselves since the start of the season cos of Dem Blades.

Seeing as we're approaching the panto season. You can't help but draw parallels with Cinderella. With the mighty Blades cast as the underdog title character destined for bigger and better things. With the arrogant ugly sisters (Wendy and Leeds) sneering in the background.

Majority do say that we will still be above them.

I like this selected comment from school mistress Helen Waddle,if its true.

Last season, some people on here were slagging off the Pigs, saying how badly they were going to fare in the Championship, etc. Karma being the cruel mistress that she is, they're playing well beyond what ought to be their capability - largely (I think) because of the team spirit Chris Wilder has brought to the club he's supported all his life. Couple this with the fact that Wilder is a very, very nice guy (I taught him when he was in Y10 and Y11 and he was easily the nicest kid I taught in my entire career), who can engender great loyalty to him and the club - and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pigs go up in an automatic promotion slot.

It racks me off no end.

I'm calling this bull crap unless she taught in Southampton as Chris was there from 82 or year 10.

Look behind you .too late the plucky buttons wilder has won the day

“Their run of games between now and January is unreal.

“They have got every club in the bottom third to play just about and they seem to play at home more than is earthly possible.”

This is some more of his post.
I was going to pick up on this.

If we’re playing all the bottom teams at home in the run up to Christmas that would mean we’re second having played top teams away from home so far.

I’ve checked the fixtures. The truth is in the 7 games to Christmas and the halfway point of the season we have 5 current bottom half teams and 2 top half teams, meaning that we have made top 2 having played more current top half teams.

This ‘always at home’ business they have wrong, in the next 7 we have 3 at home and 4 away.

I can see why they are clinging on to straws. Their recent experiences are affecting their judgement.
The last time we were both in the same league, a ridiculous set of circumstances transpired seeing them wrestle a seemingly unasailable lead off us resulting in their promotion and our demise.
They had a ridiculous run of consecutive wins in the run in after appointing Jones, and we imploded after losing our main striker and talisman at the same time.
Also as recently as last season they started poorly but then went on a much improved run to easily get into the PO spots.
They assume both these things can and will happen again because they have experienced them recently.
A dispassionate review of current form would not lead anyone to conclude that a) our bubble will burst, or b) they will somehow hit auto-form.
It could happen though because despite them seemingly being on a shockingly bad run so far, they are somehow only 2 points off a PO spot. We don't need much of a drop in form to drop into the POs.
We just need to keep going and grinding teams down. There is no team we can't beat if we turn up. If they do sneak into the POs and stay there, let's just hope we finish in the autos and don't have to worry where they are. That's the Wilder way and that will do for me.

Having witnessed over the years the almost unbelievable series of misfortunes that have happened to our club, I am always nervously on the lookout for something that could trigger the latest one, and think I have found it in the Pig post from ' Miss Waddle'.

Having spoken in such gushing terms about the young St. Christopher who she allegedly taught, it would not surprise me in the least if, come January when we have stuffed them again and they are still miles adrift of us, she suddenly remembers after 40 years that he once inappropriately touched her knee and demands that the FA should ban him for life and anyone else he has been in contact with.

They don't bother checking facts, once the claims made on NKT it's FACT and joins the list of stories to pass down to son and grandson.

"Yes 2017/18 was a good season for them grandson but they were allowed to play 64 games at home and every game started with them a goal up and being able to play 15 men while we only had four league fixtures, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and Man City , all away and we still only finished one point behind them"

"I thought they smashed us 4-2 at that ground where there's a giant Tuna canning plant now Grandad"

"You're adopted"

Why are we all getting upset ?
Our mid-table neighbours have denied our promotion rivals three vital points !
They have plenty of time to revert to type and fk up against their relegation rivals later on ....
;)

The main delusion they have is they play dominating wonderful football which is as far from the truth as is possible .At Villa they scored with their only 2 shots.
Leeds apart they have won the games they have by the leanest of margins and the match stats show in most they have not romped home but clung on

Point a) possibly. Point b) however is pretty unrealistic, dispassionate or not. On another thread somewhere I did the sums and the porcine ones would need 2.33ppg for the remaining 30 games to catch 2nd place providing the 2nd place team maintain 2ppg (which they will have to to be in the autos in May). To put that in context we averaged 2.174ppg last year over the whole season.

I'll put good money on them not making the autos. Hurrah! :D

OH YES YOU CAN !!!!!!

Very literate on there, aren't they.

Many of them can put sentences together on the lines of " us top, pigs 19th" whilst others have even mastered the art of putting together TWO whole sentences.

They will be burnt as witches today. 12pm, Hillsborough Park.

Said the same thing earlier. We're so lucky. No fit strikers for a good few games, GK injured, both right backs injured, CB on the wing, Coutts has been suspended, Clarke has been suspended, Fleck has been suspended.

Even when we've bought players, Donaldson injured almost immediately, Baldock injured before he got a chance to play, Stearman injured.

If that's good luck what's bad luck?

Being born a Pig?

There's one comment in there about how lucky we are to have all the bottom teams to play in the next 10 games - but I thought we hadn't played anyone good yet? So how can we only have the worst teams left to play?? I sniff some porky logic.
I’m surprised they haven’t bleated (grunted?) that we’ve only played one team above us and every other game we’ve had was against teams below us.

'They won't live with La Liga'.
'Their strike force is Fat Billy and past-it Clarke'.
'Injuries will hold them back'.
'Their small squad will catch them out'.
'They've been lucky in every single game so far, whereas we've been unlucky'.
'Another homer ref. on Saturday'.
'They let kids in for free'.

All, obviously, utter bollocks. But here's a new bit of barrel-scraping:

'The winter period will be a big test for them.'

What fucking next? The spring sun will get in our eyes? The approaching summer heat will tire our has-been players'?

Deluded fuckwits.

Add to that
Their long ball game will not work in the championship.
They will soon be found out
(August) they are in for a shock this is the hardest league in the world.
(November) must be the weakest Championship ever if they are top ................. how bad does that make them?
They will go down with less points than Rotherham the year before
Momentum will only get them so far
Not one of their players would get in our squad never mind our first team
Every team they play has an off day.
Every team they play gifts them goals.
Oh and the latest we will be above them before Christmas ........................ yeah might be if they win every game and that aint going to happen.

If they want to look ahead then the ought to look at facts, their current PPG (Points Per Game) of future opponents is 1.43, joint highest for any team in the Championship, meaning they've played the easiest opposition so far and have as tough a season in terms of top teams still to play as anyone else in the league. Ours on the other hand is 1.28, second only to Wolves. This backs up the theory that we've got an easier run in tpo Christmas and the halfway point than they have. I just hope their inconsistency continues, they seem to have found their feet a little recently.
