The accompanying thread on Danny Wilson got me thinking about those players/coaches who have made the 'conversion' on the road to Heeley.
I get the impression that when people have gone from Wednesday to us it has worked out better than the other way around.
Ones that I know have gone this way since the 70's include Derek Dooley (probably unique in being genuinely respected both sides of the city), Danny Wilson (signs are good), Terry Curran (total failure at United), Bromby (did ok by us I thought), Alan Quinn (so so) and a few I can't remember.
In the other direction there was the legendary John Harris (manager here, scout there), Imre Varadi and a few odds and sods on loan like McGovern and I am sure a few others too.
It's not so much who the people are/were but the relative success they had (or didn't) at the second Sheffield club they served.
Thoughts?
