I really hope you are right YES, I'd love there to be identified targets and a real plan, I was hoping these new owners would invest big and give it a right go; but so far we've not seen anything on a grand scale it's pretty much been totally underwhelming. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with your rationale but myself and a fair few on here are feared that the PJ's aren't getting dry any time soon.
Yeah they were expecting to get promoted during the summer after spending big in Jan.I makes me think the financial situation of the consortium has changed unexpectedly over the summer
If its the clubs decision not to panic buy to appease fans then that's fine.
It's not about buying players its getting the right players and not blowing money on duds.
With the development ( AI data) players its different , if you get 50% of them right it probably makes sense as its relatively low risk .
The oven ready 1st team players are more expensive gambles so it makes sense to be more circumspect .
Will all the balls fall into the right spots before the window closes? Maybe , maybe not but that's the same for all clubs .
Bournemouth have sold 3 of their back 4 , Tottenham need a maddison replacement and Newcastle have arguably the best striker in Europe who's downed tools .
All these will be held to ransom from prospective sellers knowing how desperate they are , its a mad world that no clubs no matter what their resources are immune from ( except Real Madrid possibly) .
To a point I agree but the season doesn't start when the transfer window closes...4 league games and at least one cup game will have already been played by then. Even the most deluded pig would baulk at giving your rivals a 4 game head-start.It’s very simple for me, I’m waiting to see where we’re at when the window closes. If we haven’t strengthened sufficiently, I’ll be as pissed off as everyone else.
Until then, there is no point getting worked up over what might or might not happen.
They've signed £100 million of playersNewcastle seem to be really struggling to sign players.
agree 100% regarding selles hes been thrown under a bus by this joke of an american board utterly unbelievable to sell 3 of your top players before bringing replacements in absolute amateurish mismanagement of our football club hang your headsRough watch. Soumare decent enough but he's hardly going to protect a defence consisting of Bindon who's a kid and a poor out of sorts Robinson/RND
If no one's in before Saturday it's another loss, it's pretty disgraceful really
Redirect your vitriol for Selles, it's not fair. He's being dealt a shit hand at the moment.
This isn't what we thought we were getting. And no, I don't want the skint Prince back either.
I don't blame him. Not one iota. Big 2 weeks for this lot.agree 100% regarding selles hes been thrown under a bus by this joke of an american board utterly unbelievable to sell 3 of your top players before bringing replacements in absolute amateurish mismanagement of our football club hang your heads
I raise you we,ve know since DECEMBERReasons. Excuses. Dress it up however you like.
