Absolutely astounded by the negativity. Ipswich is a tough place to go, beat Preston and Leeds who are around us in the table there. A win against a very poor Burton side at home takes us above Preston and Bristol City and only 2 points behind Boro. We then have another very winnable game vs Notts Forest at home whilst Boro are at Brentford a game in which they could easily slip up in!

Get behind the lads rather than complaining as if we have a sense of entitlement like the pigs would do! We are lucky to be in this position and we are bang in with a shout.

I think we’ll just miss out on the play offs. But I agree we need to get behind the lads as it ain’t over till the fat lady sings, and we have a lot of home games compared to others.

Whatever happens this season has been a major success and the lads have done us proud

I agree with your points but it’s no coincidence that the negativity in some Blades has started since the negative outburst from our manager, negativity breeds negativity even if he didn’t mean what he said. Considering the lineup on Saturday with no linkup player in the starting xi and having two available on the bench does hint towards being a tad on the negative side.

My overriding point is that the positivity has to start from the top, the ones that get paid for it. Just let the shackles off and go for it, we don’t have nothing to lose.

It's still open for us but I feel we had to deal with Ipswich at the weekend if we were serious about it. Ipswich were absolutely dire and there for the taking really, you couldn't imagine any of the top six not coming away from there with 3 points Saturday. We missed that creative spark but should still have won the game, i.e. if Lundstram just shoots rather than laying it off to Ched it's probably going in, decision making in the final third really is a big problem for us at the moment.

I don't think that there is a sense of entitlement, just frustration of how we have tailed off (rightly or wrongly). Our form over the last 30 games is of a team that sits between 11th and 15th in the division, and we are slowly moving towards that position after a blistering start. Yes we can still make the play offs, but it is getting more difficult with every passing game. The negativity after Ipswich is not the result of one game, but perhaps more an increasing accumulation of frustration. For some, the Hull game/performance was a shock. From Wolves onward until the end of the season, we needed to average nigh on 2 points a game to be in with a competitive chance of either 5th or 6th place. From then until until now, we needed 14 points, we've got 10, with the more difficult games to come. Based upon predictions, we're going to need at least 20 points from the last 10 games to have a chance of 6th. Those 10 games involve teams currently in 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th. 3 points in games against Hull & Ipswich were vital to allow us losses against the Cardiff, etc. I've still hopeful we'll do it, but we are now reliant on other teams dropping out of form and us finding some.

I think the key element is that we're dropping lots of points against sides (on that day) which aren't that good...

Let's just get behind the lads in the last few games and see where it takes us. I was also annoyed at some of the comments after Ipswich. Yeh we should be beating teams like that but in this league it's so unpredictable? Think Sunderland a few weeks ago 3-0 down against brizzle away but fought back to grab a point. If we don't make the playoffs I'm not gonna class this season as a failure!!. It's been the complete opposite. I M H O. UTB

Not over till the fat lady sings. However, between our two owners squabbles and wilders outburst, they've certainly not helped us. Definitely been a change in spirit while negativity from above has filtered out.
