Wolves are struggling because they've been badly run. They've invested plenty of money but then replaced a decent manager with a gamble. The gamble didn't pay off. I doubt they'll go down and I think Lambert will sort them out for next season. It's certainly getting more difficult NOT to believe we'll finally do it.
I think we'll need 2 or 3 good signings for next season. Barnsley have proved it's possible to thrive without spending a fortune, but on the other hand, I've been surprised that Wigan have struggled because I thought they had a strong squad when they went up.
The other thing is being able to maintain it once you've stayed up, Charlton managed a couple of seasons and now Wolves are struggling.
I've said on another thread, for me the key will be how Wilder has us playing as we'll likely spend more time without the ball.
Similarly, Wigan sacked their manager and took a gamble. It hasn't worked.
Providing we stick with Wilder we'll be OK.
