Why the fuck is it so important to make a signing on deadline day? Apart from that over excitable prick in a yellow tie on Sky most people in football think getting the deals done earlier in the window is the way to go. Brayford, Coutts, Done, Freeman came in last year. There may have been others, but none to make Jim wet his sporran.

In davidblade defence it does sound like we've made offers for a couple of players. I don't believe for one second that we are trying to get players out of the door first, obviously we are trying to get shut and trim the wage bill, but if that needed to happen before hand we wouldn't have put any bids in yet at all.
All you can think is- we haven't offered enough.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree but I completely understand fans who after the sales we have done and the cup runs we have had-expect us to be spending(or at least bidding) a bit higher.
Hey, I don't know our finances. All I know is the board say the money is there, and Burn and Dean seem very gettable.

There's no rule that we have to go for players out of favour at their clubs.
Nigel could be a politician, if he tells a young lad that he can help his career, that he's guaranteed a game and that we could possibly build a team around him... He'll drop down.
