Warnock's agent is 'the best!'

But they don't keep bringing it up on this message board.

Every few months you can guarantee that someone will try and belittle Warnock though. (And that's being charitable about the rubbish that is spoken about him!)

In the last 39 years we have only had one other manager that has brought any success comparable to that which Warnock brought. And incredibly, there are people using this forum who slag him off as well!
I think slagging him off is the wrong term. What people are saying is that THEY didn't think he was good enough at the top level.I think most people know he did ok at the level below with all the attempts he had,but slagging him off? They are not.

Some also resort to a slightly more insulting format, and some exaggerate the number of premier league clubs he has left in the relegation zone.

As I have put elsewhere. Warnock only had one PL class player in 06-07 (Jags). None of the other players who played have since played more than one season as a regular PL player and each time that was in a relegated team (3 managed that - Kenny, Davis and Leigterwood) and 5 others have played a handul of PL games as squad players. A good 2/3 of NW's squad in 06-07 has never played in the PL since.

I suggest that getting 38 points out of that lot was a pretty amazing acheivement.

So it's OK to kept the framed picture of him then?

And yet Bryan Robson gets less stick even though he had a bigger wage budget by some £2.5 million pounds in a lower division, and was able to spend the most money that this club has ever spent on a transfer fee (Beattie) and have us hovering just a few points above the championship relegation zone.

I can assure you that Robson doesn't get less stick at my end.

I'll have to throw a spanner in your works in the shape of Stephen Quinn.

;)

When is this thread going to get to the pressing issue of predicting which former Warnock player will be straight in at Palace? I reckon Kenny is a certainty, Clint Hill too, with perhaps Tongey or Darren Ambrose getting one last go. Presumably Curle could be in too - though might he randomly ask permission to speak to Morgs? Will Dried Moussaka become one of his scouts again? Truly exciting stuff.

I will always love Warnock for what he did at our club and his quotes;

He remembers a touchline dispute with Phil Thompson during the 2003 League Cup semi-final between Sheffield United and Liverpool:

“You can f*** off Pinocchio,” I said. “Get back in your f****** cupboard.”

Good Luck Neil, Once a Blade.........

There were lots of quotes from Warnock during his time here that made me proud to be a Blade. Whatever his faults , he cared an awful lot about the 'set of lads' he was managing at the time

Seems like he comes out with those same exact quotes at every club.

It is just media talk that he comes out with to protect his players mostly.
