QPR interim manager Neil Warnock: "It's been a difficult 24 hours as I didn't expect it to be my last game.

"I'm off to Cornwall tomorrow and then we'll see what's around the corner in the next few weeks."

Been to Bramall lane last week to give a talk McCabe welcomed him with open arms - just saying...

If you're saying what I think you're saying then......

The weathers gonna be crap in Cornwall tomorrow.

A link to this interview as all I have seen is him wishing JFH good luck at QPR.

Huge admirer but not for me, not at the moment anyway.

...however if it has gone seriously tits up by the time the Peterborough game has come and gone you never know.

Warnock talking about Warnock.
What a huge unexpected surprise.

He had his chance and made a huge mess of it. He only saving grace is that some worse decisions since then have ensured we've not got back up.
Made a huge mess of giving us our most succesful and enjoyable period since the titanic was still afloat

Due to personal circumstances it's unlikely NW will work in football again.

I seem to remember him royally fucking it up despite spending a fair penny or two and then making several comments aimed at us after the board took the correct decision to sack him. Did I dream the total gubbing by Villa when we only needed a draw or losing on the last day, again when needing a draw?
He won promotion to the Premiership when he was given some serious backing clearly defining his level as Championship level, which itself has now moved on now without him. Id be surprised if anyone gave him a managers job higher than League two these days.
On the plus side, those that like him and buy into his myth and listen to how great he is in each and every interview he gives.

Quite unbelievable ,did you hate his time with us at the Lane so much ?

Warnock is God.

Some fans are just arseholes.

I distinctly remember some people SLAGGING HIM OFF during the 2002-03 season saying that his team of hoofers would get destroyed if we went up to the Prem.

oh I get it. You're being ironic

I have been very underwhelmed by Nigel 2 but don't want him out yet as we can't keep changing managers like we are doing.
It would be very interesting to see how NW would get on with this shower of Shite though.

The selective memories.....

Most wanted him out during his tenure. Even more don't remember our pathetic away record (and tactics) in the PL and bottle-less team selections in big games. We need to beat Wigan at home so what does he do.....shoves Jagielka at right back for the first time in about three years and brings Quinn back after two months out of the team.

Is he still talking about this upstairs role somewhere that he's been pining over for years. Not one club has given him a chance yet, there's a reason for that.

There's nothing to suggest he would be any good in director of football role at all. His track record of recruitment is very much hit and miss, and with one of the biggest jobs for a DoF being recruitment I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

Both of those changes were, to some degree, arguable. Jags in theory was moved to combat the aerial threat of McCulloch, whereas Quinn had been good in some of our more successful earlier spells of the season. I remember many saying Davis should have been recalled, but that was hardly without risk either given his erratic style. Obviously retrospectively we can say they were clearly the wrong changes, not helped by the fact that Jagielka in particular struggled. For the record, I'd have probably gone with Jags, Morgs, Davis, Armstrong as the back 4. Though it would have no doubt been massively criticised had it not worked, I'd have also gone 4-5-1 with Stead as the lone striker and had CKR starting.
