First time I've really seen him play but I thought he was excellent down the left today.

Made some good runs, defended well and did everything asked of him.

A lot has been said about clough but he had a good eye for a player. Freeman, Adams and now Wallace signed for not very much are all contributing and look to have strong futures here. All are Only going to get better too. Hopefully Harrison can follow to..

I think a lot of what gets said is quite harsh, however onto the subject, yes Wallace handled Things well.

He looked good but far from the finished article.

Being honest though, I don't think any players you mention there bar Adams would be able to cope in the championship.

On the matter of young players I see Calvert Lewin on the bench for Northampton. Really winds me up, he could be on our bench. All our young talent need to be starting, it's the only way they will progress.

I thought he was poor. Terrible on the ball, offered no support or outlet with Che. Hopefully the LB will arrive this week

On the subject of Wallace, James is absolute quality and I would like to see him put into our starting eleven sooner rather than later - even if it is at the expense of someone like Baxter.

When I saw Wallace on the team sheet I feared the worst but he played well, wether It was just above my low expectations or that he was a solid full back I cant make my mind up

Kieron Wallace looked good going forward in the first half but almost gifted them a couple of decent opportunities by not getting enough on the ball in a couple of defensive positions. Second half the left flank was not a problem defensively. It would be good if we could convert him to left back as I don't think he will make it in midfield.

James Wallace did ok coming on as right midfield, he strengthened it up when seeing out the 3 points, but he isn't a winger by any means. I think he will be well used in the cup games.

Probably still need another CB and CM I reckon...

Brayford too

He was very good. Che had a shocker, Wallace was the only threat down that flank for an hour. Really grew in confidence as the game went on.
To be fair to Che they did give him special attention. Overall I think Blackpool worked their collective balls off today to deny us any space till second half. In the end they ran out of steam and our substitutions gave us fresh legs and I was disappointed we didn't win by more in the end.
Still work in progress but I'll always take a win and clean sheet against any side in this league .

I'm pretty sure JCR had been injured in a challenge just before. Wallace was out there of necessity rather than any masterplan I think.

I think K.Wallace had a steady but unspectacular game. He drifted out of position a couple of times but that can be forgiven for his first game in that position.

Yes, Clough signed K Wallace but he was a very average midfield player last season among a huge number of midfield players and no one would have batted an eyelid had he been released. All credit to Adkins for recognising that the lad had some potential, and not necessarily in midfield – of the three left-backs we have fielded so far this season, today he looked much the best (if not as good as Harris when fit) and now Adkins has found his best position, he may well improve as he gains experience playing there and more confidence.

He's got a chance of getting on the pitch for Northampton whereas he has no chance of even being named on the bench let alone getting on for us.

Give him time, I'm sure he'll start getting some game time soon enough.

Addo has already said we are still a work in progress, and we are all aware we still have several possibly key players out injured, he's also said in some games we are going to have to grind out a win and for me today was one of them.
So personally I'm quite pleased with the way the team is performing and with the results so far.
Not including the first game of course but that game has shown us there are going to be hiccups along the way but if we can recover from them as quickly as we have the first, we've got to be in with a real chance this season......

That's down to him though. He needs to work his way into their starting line up which he should be nearer than ours.
