Mel Gibson was in better nick at the end of the film then our sick note.
Really really hope he proves me wrong though.

If you need a manager who can manage him injury wise, then I think in Adkins is the right man.

To be honest I didn't see enough of him to make a judgement on how good he can be, but I hope he is as good as people say he is, and he can stay injury free for long enough to live up to the hype and show us how good he actually is

Have we too many players living / hoping on hype from us fans .

To be honest Brownie, no one at BDTBL has.
They propably haven't BW but anyone with half a brain can see the lad is pure quality just with the snippets. The only reason he isn't playing higher is because of injuries. I know a Tranmere fan who said the only reason they dropped off the pace was because of his injury, they were gutted they got rid.

Potential is worth jack shit if its on the treatment table all the time. I'd like to see a good season before I commit to the "pure quality" statement. We all want players like him, McNulty, Higdon, Done and Diego to catch fire and take the division by storm (and I believe they can).

I still think we only need 2 centre halves and possibly something a bit nasty in central midfield and we are there. Clough made some mistakes (being pigheaded probably the biggest) but he did generally recruit well.

So i've got to wait a full season before i can say someone's quality or not? That's a long time to judge a player on. The evidence is there for all to see, he helped a Tranmere side to the top of the table, he then got injured and the rest is history. He played at Everton and England as a youngster, although that doesn't mean he's Messi there is evidence to suggest he has always had something about him but admittedly we haven't seen much of it.

The nasty player in the middle you think we're looking for is already here and we're talking about him right now, why do you think he gets injured alot. He's a tough tackling passing midfielder, something we haven't had for ages.

Nice to see a change of tune regarding Higdon, have you spent summer rooming with him or something:)

I wouldn't say Cloughy recruited well but he certainly brought some good players here, he just couldn't manage some of them right or was unlucky regarding injuries with a couple of them.
