I get the impression that the Souza and Trusty deals are relatively far a long and have just been kept quiet. I'd be happy with both. Both players played full seasons last year and performed well. The spine of the team would be sorted, leaving just a couple of exciting players up top to come in

we will sign 2 attackers but we also need to replace doyle, attackers usually the most expensive/longest transfers in the game. also PL clubs dont decide what theyre doing with their young players till the last second

I get your point but I like this signing very much. We've been needing a proper DCM for a long time and if this allows either Sander or Slimane to push forward without worrying about getting back it can only be a good thing.

If you go to the supermarket you stick the fruit and veg in the trolly first because it’s there when you walk in. Doesn’t mean that’s all you are going to be leaving with.

Obviously a couple of unknowns in there but as an 11 it looks ok.

We need a few options off the bench as well to change a game / shape.

Be good to have another couple of forwards as McBurnie is likely to miss a load of games and we need options behind the main man

True but our recruitment has been too limited for years.

I get it costs money to have a good overseas scouting set up but we've behind on this for too long imho.

Despite the current disappointment the one really encouraging aspect currently is the type of player we're looking to recruit from abroad.
