I was surprised and disappointed we only risked him for 15 minutes on Saturday. There didn't seem a lot to lose by gambling earlier.

He'd been training on his own in preseason and hadn't played any preseason games to get himself up to speed with his own fitness. Given our injuries I wouldn't be surprised if Hecky was being a little bit cautious about starting him but I was surprised he only got 15 minutes.

Hecky said when he came in he’s had no preseason other than training on his own in the gym. If we put him in too early before he’s fit and up to speed there’s a decent chance he ends up taking up another bed on the sick ward

Yep. Like the look of him. Sits deep when he needs. But gets forward too.

He needs games and started slowly - as did the entire side as Forest came out of the blocks.

Looks like Norwood is sitting a bit further forward with Hamer and Souza box to box around him. Little more disjointed now he’s off but like the look of him

He was really box to box from what I could see. Taking the ball deep and then next thing he’s trying to pick out the top corner from the edge of the box

Loved watching him last night. Not just the football stuff but the way he was getting after his teammates - always demanding more, the fist pump after a tackle, the sliding on the knees after a close shot. He's going to be great fun to watch and really important to us. Feel like him and Gus will drag us to points in some games this season.

Can't help but think how good a midfield Hamer, Souza and Berge would've been...
