I know a Villa fan and he's saying they have been shit despite nicking wins. Reckon we'll do them, the football is strting to flow now.

Bolton were shown up for what they are today, by a vastly superior footballing team. Saturday will of course be tougher but Villa will remember how we dominated them last season at the Lane, only to be undone by their one moment of genuine quality. Plus we are a stronger side now so it's hard to see us not giving them a very stern examination again.

When we play to our potential we can go toe to toe with the best in this league. Let's hope the lads can deliver to a packed house. Can't wait!

Gutted to be missing the villa game!!. ( flying out to Minorca for a weeks holiday). Booked before fixtures were announced so can’t be helped.

They signed Bolasie today so I imagine he will be making his Villa debut next Saturday. Hopefully we will have a new striker too. Ah what a cracker. Early in the season Villa three successive league draws, Blades three successive league wins. The Lane will be rocking next week.

Looking forward to this one, hope we can keep the run going. However I'm not looking forward to watching grealish rolling on the floor and that twat Hutton acting a cunt for 90 mins

Grealish went off injured today and I believe Hutton bust his nose the other day so they may be absent next week.

Will be a reight game. At the start of the season, I'd have this down as a loss, but we're actually the form team going into this one. They've drawn their last 3, and they seem to be on borrowed time R.E their unbeaten run, so there's no reason not to go for another win and set us up for the rest of the season.

We haven't absolutely leathered a big club at home for some time, like when we did Spurs 6-0.

Not for one minute suggesting that score but if Villa roll in thinking their big wages are enough then they might be in for a shock.

Clicking through the gears nicely and likely two strong additions by close of the window.

I had this down as a loss based on thier spunking money again to build on a good squad. I think we tend to over respect Villa because of thier size and history , whilst our history is littered with us bottling the big games.

I don't think Bruce is a good manager, he builds expensive squads and scrapes promotion when his team's should be storming it.

Meanwhile at the lane Lord Chris has been quietly weaving his magic and reinvigorated our squad making it stronger. I am going to quietly say that we might just win this one. At which point twats like David Prutton will no doubt bemoan Villa's injury problems!!

A mere TWENTY FIVE years ago!

If they sign Abraham before next Friday I imagine he'd make his debut as well, they've only got one fit striker in kodija I think

One of whom won’t be allowed to play, even if he’s fit. :(

I know it's been said a hundred times before, but I really feel the need to repeat it again..."Grealish is a cheating twat'.

I feel better now I've said that.
He's also the most over rated player I have seen for a long long time. Yes he's decent, but pundits literally lap up EVERYTHING he does. People jump on the bandwagon without really knowing anything about him.

I watched highlights of him the other week when he came on as sub (forget who against) and a percentage punt forward towards the corner flag and to nobody in particular, was described as a 'really intelligent ball that not many others could play order alone see, a touch of class which shows how highly rated he is'.

Basic short passes were 'really tidy, controlled and measured, nothing wasted' and when he leapt on the floor whenever anyone had the cheeks to get within a foot of he he was 'taken out / scythed down' as they don't know how to deal with him' I'm sick of hearing how he's a £40 million player who will be knocking on the door of the England squad.

If he was worth anything like the 'experts' say, then he would have gone in the summer, Villa fan or not.

Decent player but he's not any better than fleck or coutts, and he's a diving, cheating little cunt to boot. I bet opposition players are lining up to wipe him out, albeit they can't get near him as he's always rolling very round like he's been shot.

Much of that is true but he is, I regret to say, a very, very good footballer.

If you’re looking for ludicrously overrated players, England, this Summer, was the place to be...

I actually think he is a very good player. He is technically excellent. An utter twat who dives a lot but would be fine playing for two thirds of the Premier League. Surprised he did not move...maybe Villa just asked for more money than teams were prepared to pay.

I don't think Villa are that great and felt they would maybe dip out of the top 6 and I have seen nothing to change that but being able to sign a few players has helped them a bit. Bolaise will be on silly wages so shows how they are still chucking cash at it.

They have pace at the top of the field and Bolaise, Adomah, the new lad, Kodija etc Can stretch teams. They could ensure our wing backs/centre backs stay at home more. Defensively they have Jedinak playing as an emergency cb and will miss Terry. The keeper also looks error prone. We owe them for last season. I think if we play how we have been last few games then I think we will give them more than a good game.

Selling Brooks has allowed us to strengthen throughout the squad and existing players - Bash, Duffy, Fleck etc. are even better. CW has introduced a whole new mindset to the team. Under Clough and Adkins, we came down the tunnel with all the enthusiasm of a bloke walking his dog on a Sunday morning. We started yesterday at Bolton with the sudden, total involvement of the opening bars of a Wagner opera. (Came across all Stuart Hall there! :D)

Accepted that he's a good player, just not all that we are led to believe by the so called experts. If he spent less time whining and throwing himself around, I would have much more respect for him. Not that he will be bothered by that in the slightest as I'm sure he doesn't care what I think.

Rule 1.
NEVER book a holiday for during the season. I was guttered last year that my plane was delayed and I missed the pre-season friendly at Stocksbridge!!

If Bolasie is on the wing then I’ve a feeling we may line up 4-3-1-2 with Bash in the middle with Ollie and Fleck and Duffy further forward
