Wow, they really think that they are a great club. Up their own arses a bit, hope they never win a game again this season and carrying on playing in that souless less than half full stadium of shite. The kid who had a dump there knew he was in the right place to do it.
I hope they win every game from now on actually.;)

What divine right do Sunderland have?

Are they even a bigger club than us?

Some of these comments are ridiculous.

We dominated from the very first minute. Probably our most comfortable win of the season so far.

They're in big trouble if they continue to play like that. Heard Grabban was leaving in the JTW so that'll be them fucked.

I hope they go down another set of deluded fans.

I would ignore the comments like their team is ex Premier League and we'er a bunch of journeymen, because I think that comes from a position of frustration and jealousy. Their ex premier league players weren't premier league quality, otherwise they'd have been bought in the summer. They were buying plenty of "journeymen" this summer too like McGeady, Vaughan and Grabban.

I don't know their team as well as ours, but there aren't many I'd want from their team, especially on the wages they'll be on. They're guilty of the "we're a big club, so we should beat you" theory, and as we figured out many times in League One, being a big club means nothing on the pitch.

I think if you asked Sunderland fans who went to today's game, they'd swap our team for theirs'!

We beat them twice that season, the second was in the first leg of the play offs and we also beat them in the League Cup under Warnock, and if my memory serves me right, we beat them under Harry too away 1 - 0.

I respect Sunderland though, and I hope they stay up, decent fans and they like us have to put up with deluded neighbours next door, albeit Newcastle have a right to brag, Wednesday don't!
Apart from the two glassblowers (in the Chemistry department when I was doing my PhD) that were lifelong Mackem fans and with whom I spent a lot of time chatting about football, I can't think of any reasons I would be concerned about Sunderland.

I said this after the 3rd goal. Their squad is woeful. When you can’t do the basics properly, like they couldn’t for large periods, you’re in trouble.
They've got a good backing and a great stadium but that team will struggle in league one I reckon. League one is where they're heading as well if they carry on like that.

"Been following Sunderland since 1976 can’t ever remember Sheffield beating us once in a season never mind fucking twice. You fucking cockwombles”

Obviously forgot this one, the stupid cockwomble:

I have horrible memories of Gabbadinni scoring every time we fucking played them back in the day.....or so it seemed

Wankers, I hope their coaches break down and it takes them until tomorrow to get home to the well known footballing superpower of Sunderland. The only thing impressive about them is the amount of numbers in their wage bill.

Wow they really think they’re somebody don’t they.

They’d never come across to me like that before but obviously can’t have been taking much notice.

The sense of disbelief in actually getting beat (hammered) by Sheffield United will pale into insignifcanece next season when they’re n league one.

Can’t wait.

In fairness to Sunderland fans, a lot of those comments will have come from those not at the game. I suspect those posting after 10pm or so might have been to the game and be a bit fairer. I know a few Sunderland fans and they are true football fans who tend to give credit where credit is due.

I have never been to the stadium of "light", however on TV it looks just like many of the new modern plastic bowl stadiums that I have visited. Also the seats are more pink and white than red.
Genuine question is it really a great stadium?

Yeah, they’ve won significantly more than us including 6 league titles (only bettered by 5 other clubs in England), they have a much bigger ground, bigger fan base, have only spent 1 season out of the top two divisions and have spent more years in the top flight than us.

I never said I was concerned mate, just a club I have a lot of time for.

By in large they talk like they are Man u, they can't remember us beating them WTF. Making our pork neighbours look small with all this deluded BS.

Hope they go down.

It’s one up from your usual standard bowl. But only one up.

This ‘“Most of our players have played in the premier league. How many have theirs. Disgraceful.”...lets remember how far we’ve come in such a short period of time to me this quote sums it up. Today we were as oustanding and to be balanced they were diabolical

Totally dominated the game. At half time I actually wondered if there were a couple of Sunderland players out there who hadn't yet touched the ball.

Just looked at the BBC statistics. Can't believe we only had 53% possession. Does a 'shot' that ends up as a throw in count as a shot?

I was thinking that when it happened, might need a new column in match stats labelled "Just Kicked it"

When was that BiB? I did the ahem same but I don't remember the glassblowers being Mackems.

I didn't break a lot of glass tbf though, the only times I did, it knew it was broken

Was informed after that Cattermole is on 80 k week and isn't the highest paid.
1st prize to who tells me who it is.
