The Brum fans are like fkg metronomes with pendulum swinging between world beaters & suicidal when you read their reviews over the years so I spend little time paying credence to em
It was a tight game , all endeavour & little quality .. draw a fair result ..⚔️

Cheers Panchero!

Don't think you could argue with the majority of their comments apart from the sponsored silence jibe. I thought our fans were quite noisy considering the teams performance.
I expected more noise from the Kop having been told the new standing area would make a difference.

Cheers Roy
Can't really argue with most of those comments

Honestly we let ourselves down in midfield, I saw very little forward momentum from peck and Rothwell .

Thanks Roy

Nowt to be excited by either side.
It was a complete bore fest.
A nonentity of a game of football.
Two dull and very limited sides going through the motions, trying to give the impression they were professional footballers.
Ragged, scrappy, bereft of entertainment.

Did you at least have summats good to eat?

Heavy use of the phrase “bang average”.

If I could ban one phrase out of the footballing lexicon it would be this. It’s completely meaningless and usually used by morons to make them appear knowledgeable in place of any real insight.

One of those games where defences were on top, with both teams fielding a good percentage of players retained from last season and have had around six weeks to prepare.

A positive for me was that we had a stronger looking bench than for a long time, meaning we didn't fall apart after the 60 minute subs, which we did on many occasions last season. Admittedly that will change with injuries and, possibly, the rest of the transfer window.

I’d, thanks, Poosers

Family BBQ in deepest Warwickshire instead of using our season tickets.
Thank eff for that, we said, afterards.

They had the game on the big screen for Ken Jnr. and I.
We suffered.
We grumbled.
We spoke about Villa and endured some conversations about Cov and Hamer.
We were not appeh.

BUT
I got to play with my grandson, chase the little lad about, jangle some chains with him and kick a football about (he’s only 11 months) so I did the kicking while he giggled and gurgled, and squealed with delight, in my arms.
Blissful 🥰

I agree , we need some width to create some space in midfield, we def lacking in creativity too 👍
My lad made a comment that he suggested a lot of us probably noticed, wilder should have taken off cannon and replaced him with jairo and suggested 4-3-3 with ohare and Donovan dropping wider , it'd have taken the pressure off brummie,s pressing and released peck and Rothwell from looking overwhelmed and allowed them to get further forward to support Bamford through the middle.

Came across as a reasonable atmosphere on TV. Not booming and not constant noise, but not the worst atmosphere I've heard and far from silent.

"Two bang average teams" was my assessment. The only difference is, that we have not spent a penny and have flogged our two most creative players, whilst they have signed a couple. Looks like they will always be held back by an overly cautious approach.

As for Solis, he ain't that good. He is just a typical whining cheating modern footballer who goes down at the slightest touch and moans to the ref. Should have been booked when he started counting on his fingers to the ref trying to get someone booked.

Cheers Roygbiv I was expecting a bit more salt from the self entitled blues.
I agree with you on solis he gave away a foul early on and spent an eternity bending the refs ear about it which had the desired effect as he then went on to win soft free kick after soft free kick with very little if any contact but somehow had put gavin ward under his spell
Rest of the game I didn't notice him.

Thanks Roy. One positive we have is Cooper is back to full fitness and good form including the bad distribuition. 😂

When we get a good defence we are crap in midfield and forward. When our defence is awful like last year up front we are ok+. Can we just have a team where they all sing to the same hymm sheet?

Solis looked decent when he could be bothered, but seemed to prefer falling over & looking for free-kivks
