TBF I don't see too much wrong with many of those.

We didn't play anything like we have done and looked no better than them today. The pitch obviously played a part but our pitch was really poor before the Desso, even if not as bad as that.

If a good footballing team at the top had come to the Lane 3 years ago and complained about the pitch after drawing, we'd have laughed at them too.

Of all the fans of teams we've come up against in this division over the last few seasons Oldhams have (imo) on the whole been the thickest, most ignorant and ill informed of all. They have no idea about football, what other teams are really doing or how they are playing and have an irrational hatred of most opponents.
They are second only to Millwall in terms of 'scuminess' in most respects and I have no time for them at all. A crap club from top to bottom and a great reason to be out of this division if ever there was one.
On to Tuesday.......and Millwall :-/

I'm a huge Coutts fan, but he absence wasn't the reason we played how we did. The way we played however, may well have been a reason he didn't start.

Same as our other midfielders, did what he could but that really wasn't very much at all - just battle and kick the ball forwards.

I'm only ever honest about our fans. Today our vocal support was poor. That's not the case every game. So it's an exaggeration to say I post the same things after every game.

I stand by everything I say about 'nerves'. It's a fucking embarrassing excuse not to vocally support the team. And being nervous should not be the predominant feeling for any remotely rational supporter at this stage.

Not been today but if they downgrade their pitch to suit the ability of their players and we upgrade ours to suit our players then so what.
They may want to reflect on their views of today at the end of the season. Perhaps saying "How the fuck is their two leagues between us and Sheffield United". Then realise it is because their players are not capable of playing on a good surface.

Some people cannot be educated.

We however....or most of us, realise that the pitch is a huge factor on how a team plays.
We have been in the position of having cloggers, grafters, workhorses running about for 90 minutes kicking it pretty much just channels and hoping, with a manager literally demanding a shit pitch be prepared to level us up with our opponents.

Thank feck that for now at least those days are behind us.
If those thick bastards in zoldham think that our tactics today were replicated by us for the full season then more fool them.
