So if games are played behind closed doors to stop fans congregating do they play at a random time without fans knowing so no one knows when they play ...?

Whatever the solution is, it has to be aligned across UEFA - it's going to have a direct impact on the Champion's and Europa Leagues and that needs to be consistent

I think Sky and BT will have a real strong say on what ever the out come is.They hold the purse strings and they will want their monies worth. They have paid the money to show Football from the prem and they will want what they have paid for or their money back. How would the clubs feel about that I wonder. That includes Norwich and West ham who think the season should be void.

Put it on normal tele, and to create an atmosphere they could overlay effects, like on Friends when they add canned laughter so you know when to laugh cos it’s not fuckin funny.

Man City = tourists fans
Man U = southerners
Wet spam = cockney walkabout
Liverpool = self entitled wankers
Blades = kidney punching yobs
Pigs = land that time forgot

One problem is, even if you play behind closed doors and put the games on Sky, fans are going to gather to watch them.
Surely they can block transmission to pubs also as someone said put on terrestrial TV

It's hard to say what's right and wrong but surely don't void, if season voided couldn't clubs leave themselves open to full ST rebate claims? In addition it goes deeper than PL as lower leagues will be on their arses and Championship clubs.

It's not our fault Norwich and Wet Spam and Vanilla are where they are, let's face it they are down there as this season they're shit.

There realistically only two fair options. The poorest is the season is declared null and void and we start again in August.
The second and fairest is the season is played out later in the year and next season is amended in someway. If we start awarding titles, promotions and relegations in an incomplete season causes imbalances unless it's right across the board in each division. For eg promote two from the championship and not relegate causes more inequality in the Championship and downwards. Those who dont go down receive payments they would not be entitled to giving them an unfair advantage in seasons to come.
This is compounded if there would be enough games for teams to catch those above, but not having an opportunity to do. How would that be fair on those missing out. I fear litigation for some time to come if that was the case!!

To be fair , there is only one option, to complete the season . Which will mean abandon the FA cup, Start the league programmes last week in May finished by the end of June that’s 2 games a week for 5 weeks. New season pushed back two weeks to back end of August giving the players 7 weeks to get rested and start pre-season. Kick the so called winter break into touch and back on track. By May everyone will be pissed off with the carona virus and something else will be the latest news because all the worlds big businesses and money machines will want to start earning again.

I think Sky and BT sport will have a big say in regard to The Premier League season. I suspect many private and commercial subscribers will understandably be cancelling their subscription due to the lack of available live sport. The broadcasters in turn will consequently be asking the Premier League for a proportion of their sponsorship money back, which would impact directly on the finances of the clubs themselves.

If this season suspension continues for a few months, I think some clubs could already be in dire straights, paying huge monthly salaries whilst getting no gate receipts or other match day revenue streams etc. The last thing they need is Sky Sports, BT and shirt sponsors legitimately asking for a partial refund.

If the season is played out, even if it is delayed, the clubs will have fulfilled their contractual commitments and be entitled to retain any TV money and sponsorship funds?

Personally I think the only fair thing that can be done, is to complete the full fixture list, FA Cup included, as soon as it is possible to do so. If that impacts on the 20/21 season, then its fixture list will have to be adjusted accordingly, but at least everyone can agree what will happen and how the leagues will be decided, before a ball is kicked? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Obviously the fans of Norwich, Villa, West Ham want the season null and voiding
Not me, HG.
Somehow, at some point, I want all the remaining games, played properly.
Over at Kumb (we haven't had a poll), from what I can make out, there's no specific wish for what should happen.
Brady's view is not necessarily, us fans view.
In fact I've read some posts saying because of what she said, we SHOULD now complete the season properly.

I’d want them to finish the season that we’re 80% of the way into .... & broadcast all games if needed.

But if they can’t play the season out:-
From the 80% of games played, we have all the stats we need on performance in terms of average points per game home & away, goals scored & conceded home & away.
Apply those averages to remaining games.
Ta-daaaaaaa - finished league tables!

FA Cup - scrap it.
Euro’s - scrap ‘em.

Get ready to start next season when we should.

I've heard of a lot of people cancelling their Sky Sports Subscription over the last few days

The only totally fair solution is to complete the football season, that means all league and cup games. The only reason why that is in doubt is because we've no idea when that can be done. It is extremely unlikely to be April 3rd! At best it could be mid to end of June - worst case scenario it could even longer.

I don't think the TV companies will worry too much about fans attending the matches in person. That's not how they make their money and it's not how the majority of clubs make their money. So I can see games going ahead behind closed doors and the games being broadcast worldwide to a TV audience only. But again, that can only be done if it is considered "safe" to do so. I can't see this happening yet - not until we are considered over the peak of the virus.

The problem with finishing the season and then just impacting next season is a logistical nightmare of a shortened season next season. The idea that each club plays each other once is a nonsense how would you balance out home and away advantage? The previous season other than promotion or relegation is not supposed to impact a following season so how would you decide who fairly plays who once at home and away? What if we drew Liverpool, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd away along with Relegation candidates away and the middle clubs at home? But other clubs got a more favourable home draw. Secondly by messing about with next season you would be messing about with World Cup qualifiers also. We would all agree that clubs are first but all complain when England do shit in international competitions. This season has to be resolved within it's self and a cut off date needs to be agreed as well as a decision as to what transpires at that cut off date. Unless there is no other way next season has to be as normal.

Agree with those saying that this season has to be completed no matter how long it takes. Can't think of any option of finishing this season early that doesn't leave the leagues open to legal action.

However 'unfair' or unsatisfactory 2020/21 ends up being, everyone will know the rules and have to accept them before it starts.

for each league have a Royal rumble for all the managers and where you are currently placed means what position you come out in the Rumble ie. Farke would come out first and Klopp 20th

the first 3 over the ropes are relegated and last one standing are champions and follows the usual relegation /promoton rules in the lower leagues rumbles also
i reckon our Chris would be def be one of the last standing - would feel a little sorry for t'old Roy but no doubt he would be looking for Zara to do something at every opportunity to help him !
