Howard was excellent for us before he lost his place in the team when he got injured. The only reason he didn't get back in was because George Long was excellent for us too.

Orient away and Wendy at home for two last minuters.

Stevenage at home was another and although Long didn't do much wrong the next season, he never commanded his area or back four and rarely pulled off a string of match winning saves.

Howard is our best goalkeeper since Kenny by far.

Bloody memory is awful. I remember him been really hesitant in coming out of his goal in one game that allowed them to score too. Can't remember who against but he was shit wasn't he?

yep your right he was really hesitant that season,some real cock ups culminating in the biggest at wembley, i am pretty sure long was in the squad as he was in the youth sqaud that played man u in the youth cup final,howard was also brought in around this time, as wilson probably thought more experience was required given goerge,s age

Easily our best keeper since Paddy. Never understood the criticism he gets from some. He makes mistakes but then he is a league one keeper and I havent seen many better this season at our level

I think that game was Bournemouth at home. We were 2-0 up and coasting, then Simmo made the gaffe which on another day might have been a free kick, and it set up a very nervy finish.
