Is he too unrealistic a suggestion for us to look at from Chelsea? Maybe on loan as I’m guessing he may be on ridiculous wages?

Spent the last half of this season on loan at Fenerbache after being froze out at Chelsea since Sarri switched the formation from using wingbacks.

Would be absolutely ideal at RWB and still only 28 despite being around for seemingly forever.

Feel free to shoot me down and call me a moron if this is too unrealistic!

Good shout, however he'll be on mega money and we certainly wont be able to afford it. Also there'd be established suitors I'd imagine.

That was my concern, but for him to end up at Fenerbache would suggest that there can’t have been that much interest from the Premier League for him?

Would be an upgrade on Baldock/Freeman but I think wages would be too much.

I think that's a brilliant shout. Wealth of experience and fits the point to prove category and has always seemed like a decent professional. As others have said though perhaps out of our reach but you never just know. Completely forgot he existed!

That's probably the best crap shout so far this month.

Fair enough comment to say that his wages will likely be too high, i thought that may be the case.
But for comments saying he’s too old and on his way down and would be ideal for Wednesday.....he’s 28 years old so should be coming in to the prime of his career and it’s only 2 years ago he had an excellent season as a RWB in a title winning Chelsea side!

Fair enough to class him as an unrealistic signing due to wages but to suggest he wouldn’t be good enough is mind boggling

Older, huge wages, on his way down and not British.
I fully agree though, he looked class the first time I saw him live too.

Represented England all through the youth system so I don't think there'd be a culture clash, chose Nigeria for his full caps. It's a very sad story as his parents were killed in religious riots when he was a child and he was fostered by a family in London.

Anyway, not saying we should sign him but I've always liked Victor Moses, good player who's overcome a lot.

You can't say anything right on this board fella ;)

I'm sure a player i've never heard of will be good enough if he's played at Chelsea when they won the league 2 years ago.

However, do you think that he'll jump at the chance to come up north to a city he's never heard of and play for a manager he's never heard of and really give his all?

We want young, hungry players not the ones that want a big pay day out of the spotlight where they don't have to work as hard... which is the difference between the players we sign and the players Wednesday sign

The main issue is the word LOAN.

Hendo (hopefully) will be one of our two loans we can have from Premier league clubs.

The other loan for me, has to be a player that starts in August and barring injuries/suspensions etc will play the whole season.

He has to be a player who scores goals as well.

As far as shouts go this is my favourite so far.
Still incredibly unlikely but clearly surplus at Chelsea. At a good age still, with Premier League experience. Would be perfect in our system & definitely an upgrade on Baldock.
As others have said wages would be the issue.
However if you think he might be on £80-90k a week at Chelsea, if we offered to cover half of that we'd be getting a hell of a player for about £2 million, admittedly only for a season.
Maybe not so unrealistic after all...
;)

He played for Wigan, I'm sure Sheffield is a paradise in comparison.
