If Wilder is the best man for the job just because Selles was shit, we really are up shit creek.

We look like a really poorly coached team completely bereft of ideas or with any conceivable pattern of play.

Players struggling with the basics, a lack of movement, no pace, the obsession with using Cannon in a role that doesn't suit him one iota, it's completely ineffective and utterly boring to watch.

Huge improvements needed in the next few weeks in all areas including recruitment obviously.

No-one should expect a promotion challenge this season as it's unreasonable imho but we should expect some semblance of a set up that looks like it's been put together by competent professionals over the last month.

Watching this has made me back Infantino's plans for a 137 team world cup every 6 months.

I think that’s where the frustration is, I don’t think anyone expects a top 2 promotion push, at best maybe 6th place. But at the very least can we demonstrate some actual plan and footballing style other than give the ball to Gus and hope for the best or balls into the channel and pick up a second ball.

I actually wouldn’t mind if we we set up as an effective counter attacking team, but we can’t even do that as we have zero pace and power in the team.

The only “new” thing I’ve seen today is a very slow rotation of pushing the full back high and winger dropping deep to receive….looks like we’ve caught onto the trend that was popular in 2016!..we’re just 10 years late.

Hmm….Preseason and all that, but this has been a tough watch. I’m not a fan of the moaning at each other and flinging arms in the air. Now’s the time to be putting it right, not blaming. Come on Blades, there’s better to come.
