Vaping in the ground

There's zero reason anyone would spike a vape with spice. Even in small doses.
The only possibility is that these were home filled vapes. And as far as profititibility goes, and actually even bothering at all it makes no sense.
It's scaremongering of the worst kind.
Personally I'd call it utter bullshit.

It says that they were buying them thinking they had THC in, but it was actually substituted with spice. That being a lot cheaper could be where the reason/profitability you are questioning comes from?

I also wondered if the seemingly high proportion they found could be linked to the fact they’re testing confiscated vapes. I’d guess some of those may just have been taken off kids randomly seen using it - but maybe some were taken as a result of a bag-search after suspicion the kid was off his/her face, which would then make it more likely that you’re finding a vape that’s got something stronger in it than might normally be the case?

That's not just regular vapes though as was being alluded to... They are trying to purchase vapes containing an illegal substance already so straight away they are putting themselves at risk using unregulated product.
