Baldock £650k
Evans £500k
Lundstram £400k?
Stevens Free.
Thomas £ 290k
Henegan £300k
Stearman £1m
Blackman loan
Vickers loan.

Fees and wages. Do they represent good business? They are being tested now we have numerous players absent.

My view is that Wilder will be disappointed with them as a group but it is early days even now.

Which of those undisclosed fees are actually correct?

I thought £1m seemed steep for Stearman but it's the sort of figure that was generally reported. Add to that Fulham are a rich club and it seemed unlikely we'd get him cheap. So estimating 700-800k seems about right. But if anyone knows it was less, I don't see why they wouldn't say so. It would actually be beneficial.

Your figures are in line with what has been reported and like mancunian blade I seem to remember CW making reference to Stearman costing £900k in an interview. The only problem on this thread is the local hack pretending he knows something he doesn't.

I've no idea why you choose to pretend you know the inner workings of the Club. Maybe its part of your job remit to try to convince the local population that the Stir has a lot of influence down at the Lane when more likely you are provided with the occasional strap line to fill your column. You haven't been told by a member of SUFC what Stearman cost have you? Have you just picked up a snippet from one of your more senior colleagues put two and two together and got five.

Youve only got to remember the amount of utterly wrong info that comes from"sources at the top of the club" to realise that.

Does anyone actually know any of the fees involved and have proof? We can all speculate that we are ITK saying "Chris Wilder's Auntie's Butcher's Cleaner's Best friend" told me in the strictest confidence that Baldock cost £4.52 but have any of the fees actually been mentioned by Wilder or in any other official capacity by the club. I really don't see what United have to gain by telling the Star or any other media outlet the transfer fees we are paying. Simply based on how some lament McCabe for his financial dealings and also to risk hindering future transfer negotiations?

I've had a lot of sympathy for you in the past when you've been attacked on here because of what you do for a living. However, on threads like this, you come across as a bit of a clever dick, who has access to info that the rest of us don't. You don't need to make specific reference to your job, everybody knows, from previous postings.

If you really know what Stearman cost and you know that because of your job, keep it to yourself. If you know it because you're a fan with a mate in the know and you're not betraying a confidence, why not share it?
