The club made no statements and sold no one. It was a calm end to the window from that perspective. The last few days, on top of the transfer embargo, have been an utter shitshow from the owner of the club. I have no idea what the playing or coaching staff are thinking after the last few days of selling/not selling players but the Prince's competence has to be called into question.
We could have had a nice calm end of transfer window but no, 3 days of utter idiocy. I hope it doesn't have a detrimental effect on the players. I'm glad we haven't sold anyone but it's has felt like utter chaos.
the "shitshow" is a frenzy created by supporters who knew nothing about what the club's intentions were and engaged in wild speculation. Same for the takeover. All that time and energy wasted.
People need to accept that the current regime does not talk to the local press or make a lot of public statements. People may not like it, but that is the way it is.
In his 3 and a half years in sole charge the Prince has sold exactly one of our better players, who (a) went for a good fee (b) we haven't missed and (c) made himself look a fool in talking about the move.
We have hung on to our better players at a time when we really needed the money. From the perspective of a fan who wants us to be promoted isn't that the best outcome?
