Thought Duffy was excellent yesterday. I really can't fathom why Burton didn't want him after going up last year.

I'd go as far as to say that's the best performance he's had in a Blades shirt. I certainly can't remember a better one, although my memory is pretty poor :D

The fact he's starting games in the Championship at this stage in his career is fucking mint. Made some very expensive footballers look rather silly on their own turf yesterday. Simply lovleh.

Up the Duff!

He works well in the system we play, last season he had a cracking season, but he had a tendency to go missing in some games. I didn't see that yesterday though. It helps having played a season with Coutts and Fleck.

He's keeping the likes of Brooks and Carruthers out with performances like that yesterday. Good on the lad!

Go missing? That's far too harsh. He's at an age where he can't sustain 90 minutes, but I've never seen a United player who shows for the ball more than Duffy.

Going missing = Harper or Woolford. They were Ninja.

It might be harsh, but last season, being super critical, there were games where he allowed the game to pass him by. As i say, i don't think that was the case yesterday

Clough wasn't keen on Duffy. He was brilliant for Burton under Hasslebaink but wasn't even guaranteed a start by the end of the season.

He never went missing imho - always showed - but there were a few games where he didn't really do anything with it once he'd got it. I always thought we were better with him though. Irrespective of how well he played he always got taken off so must be an issue with his stamina.

One thing I have never seen Duffy do, if hes having a bad game or a great one is go missing! And yes he has been brilliant so far this season. Didn't he play on the wing for Burton? With us, he kind of has a free role in the middle, abit like our Messi if you like. He only lost the ball once yesterday, mainly because he got crowded out by about three players.

When you consider that we have Brooks and Ruthers available to come in, it really shows that we had no need for Holmes after all for that position.

Get your point but I do think Holmes would give us a few more goals especially from midfield

He's doing what he was doing last season - bossing it early in the season.

And one thing he can never be accused of is 'going missing'. He's basically the last player you can ever say that about.

Worra shock Clough not recognising football talent.

Well then Clough is an airhead and a nincompoop. Duffy is superb, whilst Clough's Burton looked nothing but dire yesterday and devoid of any quality at all.

Surely the more baffling thing is why Birmingham gave us Duffy and Donaldson for nowt, spent loads on a bunch of overrated Brentford players and gave Che Adams a huge contract.
Not baffling punk, chalk and cheese, in other words Wilder and arry, ones a proper manager/coach the other is playing at it, you know like a computer football manager game thingy, sits behind his desk telling everyone what to do while he is looking at "names" he can bring in, easy, in it. :-)

Their midfield cost circa £25m.

Ours circa £250k.

I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love. Cant buy me ........... :)

Ours was, by a huge margin, vastly superior.

I'll offer you an explanation - it's when spending football money loses it's importance. Think Wilder calls it "spunking money".

Chansiri is spunking money at S6 - hopefully it won't work. Eddie Howe and Bournemouth proved that careful spending can make it work. Hopefully CW is with us long enough to repeat the same. His star continues to shine even brighter which is not going un-noticed in the football world.
