I left Sheffield in 1969 to go to college in Leeds so that's 49 heading on 50 years for me.

Its not really a heat map but just look for the trail of destruction emanating from Bramall Lane in all directions. Old ladies covered in spit, motorists with black eyes, people clutching their kidneys, old folks tipped out of wheelchairs etc etc. .
 
Born in Sheffield brought up in woodhouse been in Hartlepool 12 years there’s 5 Blades that I know of in monkey Hanging land I even have a lady friend on Facebook who’s from the U S and A no affiliation to Sheffield whatsoever who supports the blades and watches our games and stupid o’clock in the morning
 
I'm a non-Sheffield Blade. I was born in Scotland, moved to Hampshire, then York, then Stoke, back to Scotland, then Catterick now I live in High Wycombe.

Always been a Blade, thanks to my Father.

My Dad, from Cheltenham went to watch lots of teams in his youth, he wanted to get the feel for which club was 'his', which club felt right and that he could most identify with. He didn't live in Cheltenham long and moved around a lot (like me). After a long search (it wasn't until his late teens) he finally knew Bramall Lane was home. He said he felt it instantly. Like nowhere else on Earth. He also liked the fans. Never regretted the decision.

We've been going to games together (from varying distances) for over 25 years. I'm delighted with this and proud of him. I think it's quite a unique story of football following. I expect judgement on this but it's rather late to change my mind on which team I love.

I really hate High Wycombe. So glad i'm moving away in 2 months!
 
I was born in Sheffield but I've moved around the country over the last 20 years!. North Shields, Halifax and now Liverpool.
Please don't judge me on living amongst scousers!!. Lol. UTB
 

We have had a similar thread, I revealed there that I was born in Manchester and am proud of my Mancunian roots. My grandad, a Sheffielder, forced me to support the Blades, aged 4. I have never regretted it. Objectively speaking, the two very special atmospheres on their day, in England, are Anfield and Bramall Lane. A family of five in my village went to the UK for a month. They went to BL for the Boro game. they have 3 sons, 12,15,16. They came back yesterday. The boys have all bought shirts, even the dad said he loved it. The 17 year old said everyone was so friendly and they all said how funny everyone was and how the atmosphere was electric. He is now looking to study English at Sheffield Uni and trying to get in before Brexit.
I wouldn't consider myself a super Blade but I am a huge fan of the friendliness and humour of the majority of Blades fans. They/we are a special breed.
 
I was born in Sheffield and lived there til I was 8. I have been in Bristol ever since aside from 3 years at uni in Cheltenham. I am 38 now.
 
Technically I'm from Derbyshire despite being born in here (mum & dad escaped to Glossop) but now living here.

Does that make me a bad person?

Or is it the dwarf porn fetish which makes me bad?

Met a couple, in their 50’s I guess, at the night match at Reading. They started talking to me because they recognised me from BDTBL. They sit just across the aisle from me in the South Stand. They come from Kent and are present at every Blades game! Respect to them. That’s a bloody good distance to travel!

I’m technically from Derbyshire too. There are a lot of us technically from Derbyshire who are spiritually from Sheffield. Because of dem Blades!

When did your mum and dad move to Royston Vasey? And are you still considered “a local”?

We really should get a south Manchester supporters group together. I'm in Marple and there are plenty of others knocking about
