Not wishing to be money mad, but do any 'programme experts' think that the Norwich match programme, the last United game before the pandemic, could be worth some money in the future? It might be one collectors look out for?

In a word no.

Don’t mean that to be patronising buddy but programmes only really have value if they are pre-war or hard to come by or preferably both

Oh well, I guess I will still need to enter the lottery 😂

Take my reply with a pinch of salt mate, I certainly don’t claim to be a programme expert but I’d be fairly sure that im right on this and I would be taking my place in the lottery queue if I was you 😀

Norwich game programme value £3.50 maximum, today and for the next 50 years.

This one £35,000

If anyone had a Newcastle programme from the following weekend I imagine that would have more chance.

I imagine the programmes are already printed a couple of days in advance so there should have been one. Is it still possible to subscribe to get United ones delivered before the game?

Anyway I doubt it would be very valuable until a few years in the future regardless.

Apparently they are doing programmes for our remaining home matches. I guess there won't be many sales, so who knows I might get to make my million yet!!

Yeah, subscribe and they drop them off.

They already did that, I was thinking of partaking because I like to keep them nice and being in my back pocket or inside coat pocket isn't conducive to them being nice when I get home, you pay a premium though, think they work out closer to a fiver each with postage and that.

Old Etonians have more foreign players than United do -Brexit football!

I think the only home league programme post war that's worth a bit (couple of hundred quid perhaps) is Chelsea 1954-55 season. I think the one worth the most post War at the Lane is the Wolves replay in the 40s, £3-4K perhaps.

Do you have a link for info on that? Can't see anything in the News section of the OS.

Unfortunately the vast majority of clubs didn’t receive them from the printers or sent them ALL straight back including Newcastle. (As a self confessed collector I enquired with NUFC). 1 Norwich v Southampton (possibly the only one available) was sold on eBay for charity and fetched a whopping £285

The Wolves game wasn’t expected to go ahead so it’s thought only single sheets were printed and handed out in the directors box hence its rarity. Spot on with the price though. You can pick the Chelsea 54/5 one up for £100-120 but there are quite a few that will command £50-100 and a large number around the £20 mark

With regards to this season's programmes, the Norwich one isn't going to be worth a great deal as they sold thousands.

I was up at St James Park on the Saturday morning and no programmes had been printed for distribution to the public because Newcastle don't print until the night before and the game was called off on the Friday morning

The postponed games vary in value and much depends on the opposition, as my mate Spongebob alluded to, the Norwich v Southampton game was fetching £200 plus, but as in these things prices then tend to drop and are now in the £70-£80 bracket.

other games like Brighton v Arsenal between £6 and £10, Hull City v Charlton £10-20, a lot of games lower down the pyramid around a fiver.

Of course there will be collectors who will want them all

If there wasn't a programme produced, then tickets will have value, Spurs v Manchester United £50 plus, this, on the main will be spurs collectors as the only tickets available were distributed to away supporters only.

I have ordered an Aston Villa v United programme today, I don't intend selling my programmes, but it could become a collector's item in the future.

Alrhough not rare they will all be limited editions as the majority of fans buy them as part of the match day experience
