United or Wednesday

Hello again everyone,
It's been a while since I've jumped on this forum and I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has taken the time to give me info/their opinion on why United should be the team for me. As I think I have said before, I'm not basing my full decision on the forums but I appreciate all the insights that has come my way. You certainly make a very strong case.
Through the uni, over the last couple of months, I have made some connections with people who are also doing my course or are at the uni in gerneral. They were certainly all football fans and after telling them how much I wanted to dive into the culture here, they were very intent on taking me to their ground and showing me the ways. More importantly....they were Blades! I have also made contact with a couple of Wednesday supporters and I did tell both sides that ultimately Premier League football would sway me towards Wednesday. Their loss in the playoffs resulted in a heated but friendly debate from the two sides but I have to say because numerous factors I won't go into and reasons that were very similar to the comments on here, I will become a BLADE next season. I am unsure of timings just yet as to how my arrival will correlate with the start of the season but at this point, I have chosen my team.
May the off season be prosperous for the Blades and I hope to see the team firing when I arrive.

Top man, would love to meet you next season.

A splendid choice NYkr .

You're fortunate to be joining us at an incredible time in our history. The club is united (see what I did there...) from top to bottom for the first time in many many years. You might not see as many victories as you'd like next season, but what you will see is exciting, quick, pressing football driven by a coaching staff who aren't interested in a draw if a win is possible. It's going to be fun.

Welcome

I dont know why , but i just cant shrug off the feeling that this is a piss take .
If it is, it will need a hell of a punchline, because the writer has put a whole lot of time into this, and so far I have not felt that we are being laughed at. The scenario is plausible enough, and he has invested more time than any of us in all this.

It was someone I met over there. Got them interested in all things Blades so left them my shirt, not a team shirt but a t shirt.

Who then spoke to McCabe and the rest is history.

So someone comes on here from NY says if pigs had got to the prem he would be watching them but seeing they didn't he's watching us .f ing plastic , I'd rather he pisses of to the sty
The fact wednesday potentially could have gone up to the premier league, which could mean players in the most followed league on earth being on much doorstep, isn't something you'd consider if you went to Germany as had to decide between Bundesliga football or second tier? Being from the states, the standard of domestic football is much lower and this could potentially be my only opportunity I will get to watch English football. I will go to United matches and even if we are bottom and Wednesday are top I won't change my mind.

Just come to England and see what happens. It's the people you meet and experiences that you have that'll end up defining who your team is.

I don't think it's something you can plan, really. Whatever you end up doing, Sheffield is a fantastic footballing city. Fantastic city all-round, actually.

Stick with the Blades. English football culture is something to behold and as tribal as it gets. The English Championship is the 5th best supported league in Europe after Premier League, Bundesliga
La Liga and Seria A , it's a great experience and not to be missed

I second that really you'll have to experience both and see who you have more of an affinity for. I'm confident that'll be the blades, but you never know. Welcome anyway, you'll have a great time here and no doubt make friends to last a lifetime

Well chosen! Your point above is a fair one and those suggesting otherwise are biased Blades. However, I agree that, however made, your choice is the correct one. From the location and state of the stadium to the fact that the whole club is buzzing after the best season in many years means that Bramall Lane will a fantastic place to watch football next season. For your first piece of homework it is imperative that you learn the Greasy Chip Butty Song.
