I know the lads out of The sportsman in one of the episodes. Scarey to think they are 50 now like me :(

I have seen Keith Broughton about a few times (don't know him) and saw him around Birmingham at the Villa games this year. I remember paying football against one of his sons in the Redgates/GT Sunday League; he was a keeper same as me; but in the other goal.

Doubt Winnie Royston is still with us?

Got the series on DVD. Often tease a certain junior Stancliffe about it (who I am good friends with) for his inability to cut up his food!

Johnny Johnson ,who used to have the cobblers on Woodseats is on at 2.26 ,Andy and Sellers are at 13 minutes ,all really good guys.

What's his dad doing these days Db? "Stan, Stan, Stan the man!"

There were six episodes all together, shown on BBC 2.

In the order they were shown.
The Players.
The Women.
The Board.
The Fans.
The Apprentices.
The Manager.

Although i'm biased got to be the best football documentary ever, especially as we got promoted that season.

The dressing room footage was brilliant, just one bleep after another.

If it was re done today would they call it 'United'?

I doubt it as everyone in the media believes Man U are 'United' nowadays.

Trying to find a tape player so he can listen to Genesis.

Apparently does not even like Genesis and his wife Janet was talking nonsense. Big fan of the boss though. Springsteen not Bassett.

There is a website/company where you can get hold of it and many other of our matches / season reviews quite cheap. PM me if you want details and I can point you in right direction.

I know the site you mean, its very good.

This is rubbish, the acting is pants. And people have the nerve to slag Sean Bean off in WSC. I really would have expected better from Dame Thora Hird and Michael Le Vell.

Living darn south, not seen Johnny J for quite a while. Is he back from Spain yet.

Ive not seen him in a few years to be honest. Sisso in the Cricketers will know ,I will ask on Saturday. Whats the other guy in the documentary from Woodseats called ,Phil something ,I used to play for the Chantry with him.

If I remember correctly was this shown on a Friday evening,,it was not long after I'd started following the blades and I thought it was great that we had a tv show and used to brag at school to the leeds and wednesday fans that we were better because we have a show on telly,,,,well you do when your about 11 which I think I was.
I'm sure I used to watch it with me mam when me dad was down the pub.

Ay, Friday night at 10.00pm, I've got the whole series on VHS somewhere in the house.

Yep. Also got the series in VHS and incredibly still have a VHS player that just about works. Ken Jnr has all my back catalogue of season review VHS tapes. Not been played for years. He has watched em all though but probably not any of them over the last 8 years or so.

I've finally got around to backing up all mine / Darren 's to more modern storage media :)

I have a pretty vast collection of United videos which I'd love to get copied onto DVD. A few from the 85/86 season are the earliest, us beating Fulham, Brighton (one of these is a Cup match), and L**ds (3-2) all at the Lane. I've got us beating West Ham 3-2 in 93-94, Spurs 6-0, losing 3-2 to Norwich in 1989, beating Huddersfield 5-1...
