So fans will be under the spotlight today regarding behaviour, so I just wondered how the small minority of fans who allegedly sang racist chants against Bradford will conduct themselves. I'm hoping Peterborough don't provoke united fans into a reaction.

A chant of "we sing what we want" wouldn't surprise me.

If there are any daft chants then I really do hope that there will be even more condemning it with booing!!!

Also, the club will know what area it was coming from and should be ready to act accordingly.

Perhaps 90 mins of silence for fear of any reprisal :(
Yeah, we should be able to sing what we want after all we're supposed to have free speech in this country (without having to take responsibility for what we say, obviously)

Respects for others? You mean like at every other ground in the country? It's a football match not a flower arranging class.

At the end of the day it's a song. Nobody got hurt because of it.

If they'd been waiting outside at the end of the game to kick people's heads in I could see the problem, but really. It's just words.

Your right mak,I have had the pleasure of a tour around that security room where all the surveillance cameras are,it's unbelievable how much they can pick out of the crowd they should have identified the mindless little twats ,and the club should deal with them accordingly, after all we have had more than our fair share of bad publicity

I think you know what I mean by respect surely?

Slagging the oppo team and fans is fine as long as it's not racism. Dont you agree?

Wanting all our fans to not make racial chants at a football match isn't a matter of social class, just a case of having any class at all.
You see this is where you make a dick of yourself and fuck the whole debate up. No one has said we want our fans to make racial chants in fact totally the opposite except in your twisted logic.

I have followed the Blades all over the country and we have one of the least racist fan bases around. The misrepresentation and over-reaction following the Bradford game - fuelled by people with their own agendas - is a disgrace.

Really? The guy posted saying he just wanted our fans to show respect, and the context of this week is clear that he was referring to racism. You then reply about prawn sandwiches.
He was clearly talking about the racist chants last week, and you knew that when you posted. You were the one clearly being a dick.

Interesting. I'd be interested in what agenda you think Blade fans would have against the club?

Totally agree,

The reference was to atmosphere not race as you fully well know ,Roy Keane never referenced prawn sandwiches to race as far as I remember. It seems like everything leads to your race obsession.

Not buying that. The posters point was very clear what he was talking about you were just being the a hypocrite and being the dick you accused me of being.
I like the race obsession line - on a thread about racism, talks about racism. Good one.

You clearly have the moral highground you so desperately seek ,and if you feel you less racist than me then well done you. To me your attitude is pathetic and causes far more harm than good ,bit like Mr Mohammed but no one on here has said one word in support of racism however you like to promote yourself. Any way Im off to the Lane to cheer my team on ,you sit at home and think of the next weak non-race story you can cling to. I would be very careful who you accuse of being racist ,they might go and give their name to the Star and accuse you.

Yes, there are hints of rather unpalatable attitudes on this one, I'm afraid. I've always suspected racism and a liking for hoof are closely associated.

Get a wriggle on fella else you'll miss the kickoff.
It is funny how I've since I've posted on these threads the one thing I keep being attacked on is not going to matches. Challenge racism = armchair fan. How ilogical, odd, and totally ignorant of he truth?

Guys this post was supposed to be about the media coverage at today's game and how the fans react to what has been reported this week not a debate about what went off against Bradford, I would prefer if the media reported on a resounding victory and support from fans that are second to none. UTB
