Ht Utd 0 Forest 0, scrappy stuff, even game, Adams has gone close, playing the loan striker role, switched with German trialist Shirdel, who started wide,(very poor so far). Barker is cruising through the game, a quality player. Team: Willis,B.Davies, Barker, Whiteman, McFadzean, Shirdel, Dimaio, Reed, K. Wallace, Coustrain, Adams. Update 0-1, Willis came and didn`t get to a corner, free header for their right back.

0-2, 55 mins, free kick from a long way out, swung in by the left back, deceived everyone, and ended up in our net. Another Willis error. Forest in full control.

Appreciate the updates.

Foxy, I think you once said that you had the knowhow to set a live stream up. What resources/equipment do the club lack?

Wouldn't it possibly add a little bit of prestige and motivation to otherwise practice-like U21 matches if it was played at the Lane and also streamed live for anyone to watch it?

Situations like this baffle me. Are there no local collleges, or the University, with film studies students looking for valuable work experience, or subject matter for a dissertation? The student gets valuable experience and work in the portfolio, the club gets free labour, the fans get to watch football they wouldn't ordinarily have seen, the young players get exposure and a something to show their family/mates. Everyone gets kudos. Win win win win win win!!!!!!

Shouldn't we be giving the pitch a few weeks off?

You have to play (4 I think) games on your proper ground.
Requirement of the league.

When someone kindly asked the question for me last year re Morgan stating it benefited the players to play there
Answer
1. pitch as you say
2. stewards staff costs - even when no floodlights.

Surely both those two will change :? 2 this 1 next season.

From from it for me to speak as confirmation, as that would be unfair of me without actually working for the club or looking at the specifics from within, but from my independent point of view barring any licensing or usage agreement restrictions, I'd have thought everything is in place technically.

I'd imagine we may be lacking in terms of human resource in someone having the time, know how and flexibility to set something up.

It's also worth considering that various parties may not wish to broadcast footage of such fixtures for a whole host of reasons (triallists, scouting, opposition information gathering etc)... Whilst allowing spectators opens that up a little, it's a more controlled environment.

The next time I bump into the people who would likely to be closest responsible for such a request, I'll ask them their thoughts on the matter, but in the mean time, we'll be there so will update you on the key goings off :)

It would be something nice to have, but despite the fact I'd do it personally if I was in a position to make the call, I understand a number of reasons that may be why we don't have it.

Highspeed fibre connection, decent quality camera, a mid-high end PC and specific streaming software is all that is required. I assume that the camera and PC system are already implemented at BL so its a matter of finding someone with the time (I'm a free student in media studies and IT and would HAPPILY do it!:) looks great on the CV.) and getting all specific clearances. It would barely cost the club at all, and is obviously beneficial to all parties.
