It's not all doom and gloom:

Apparently the U18s beat Wendy 3-2 this morning.

Don't know any more than that.

I'd be interested to see the team if anyone knows it.

Saw on Twitter that Dom Calvert-Lewin scored two.

Yes, on the bench against Rochdale, Crawley & Peterboro, without coming on, dropped from the bench today for the young lad from Ilkeston (Wallace), why?.

Don't know much about the lad but hes been bagging goals for 18s 21s and Stalybridge in conf north. Worth a go?

Makes no sense. Wallace at present doesn't look anything like a professional footballer. It could be a confidence thing, but he just doesn't look like he's got any sort of skill set. DCL has to be worth a try on current form.

Wallace could turn out to be a gem long term Deej, I would somehow doubt it, but his selection today was baffling. DCL might be a disaster if brought on but at least lets give him a try, same age group as Adams, so why not ?.

Yeah he could, i'm sure we we will have seen something in him because it's unusual for us to pluck players out of non league these days, time will tell. Needs the rest of the season in the U21's for me, his first full professional pre season and go from there.

DCL is still only a second year scholar and younger than Adams and Wallace. I don't think the U18s have been doing very well so DCL probably played in his own age group to try and stop the rot against Wendy

Calvert-Lewin dropped to the U18s yesterday so he could actually play football rather than sitting on the bench would be the obvious answer.

Lovely goal that second one mate, i'm still trying to find the teams for you but i can't find them anywhere.

The team was Ramsdale, Brown, Adebowale, Evans, Kelly, Brooks, Fahad, Gordon, Hinchcliffe, Calvert-Lewin, Cockerline. The performance was easily the best of the season. After 10 straight losses, Lewin, and Evans were brought back, and the difference was startling. Just about deserved it, but Wed came back strong, and there was a heart in mouth moment, when Wed has one ruled out in the 99th min! There was a long delay after an injury to Adebowale.

The Wed has one ruled out in the 99th min!

The scorer of the disallowed goal was Warren Clarke who played for the same AFC u8s and u9s team as my son also played together for both Dronfield Junior and Henry Fanshawe school teams

Glad he strayed offside!!, I know it was only the U18s, but always nice to beat Wed, especially on the back of the horrendous set of results, our lads have had.
