I recall him being given a second chance by Adkins, after it was Clough that had completely frozen him out. In fact didn't he give an interview last season where he talked about having been given absolutely no reason why he'd been left out by Clough? Either way, I think his standards had steadily declined post-Maguire. Definitely couldn't question his effort though.

Wasn't questioning his commitment, no doubt that he tried, but he was one of the leaders last season and there was a definite clique at the club which had become rotten. Collins was an awful player and is the epitome of 5 of 6 years we've spent in this division. There was no bad treatment of him and to be honest he should've had his contract cancelled under Clough when they fell out.

As for Adkins, many treated him like a god when he arrived, he came on the back of a reputation, but no substance to back it up. No heart, no courage, no desire and no idea.

Thankfully, it took last season to bring this season. Its nice that Collins and Adkins are tweeting pleasantries on our promotion day, a cynic would suggest that it helps boost their status on, however not me, taking it at face value they're nice comments. But it wont take away from the fact that they were central to the worst years i've witnessed at this great club.

McCabe and the Prince will be under no illusion as to what makes this club tick and if they were unsure what blend we needed in the past, hopefully they now see what doesn't work.

I find it hard to believe that some are praising Adkins for his tweet...To me his Tweet was that from a smarmy, vain, cock sucking, Glory Hunter. Looking for praise for/from Billys signing and his involvement in BDTBL. Fuck him and his geese, it was painful to be a Blade whilst he was in charge.
