Bielsa is from a different culture – he has broken no rules, but it’s possibly not ethical. He’s a maverick. Wilder and the majority of English managers wouldn’t do it.

Our team is known on a Friday, and the 11 year olds and parents are there on a Friday, so will be able to see us training.

Players diving upset him more.

Crainie and Sharp contracts are dealt with. Enda and a couple of others in discussion – we don’t want players running their contracts down.

Might still be one or two going out and one or two coming in this month.

Swansea have a good set of players, and some young ones coming through. Our toughest away game has been Rotherham – so there are no easy games. Anyone can do a Hull and shoot up the table. Everything is still to play for right down the table.

Thought we played fairly well that night...after going 3-0 down.

Agree after we were 3-0 down Boro took the foot off the pedal and we definitely looked the better team in the 2nd half.

Whereas at Rotherham we were out of sorts for the full 90 minutes.
Was laughing to myself that we’d totally stolen an undeserved 3 points.
Then a last minute comedy of errors gifts them a last minute equaliser.
2 points lost, it’s one the most angry I’ve been after a match for years and summed up our day.

So Boro was our most difficult away game then.

Our players hadn’t got into their stride when we played Boro, a bit like when we played Cardiff last season. More about us being poor than Boro being good but such excuses at Roverum.

We were poor at Rotherham but still scored two goals and came away with a point.

Boro are a much better team than Rotherham.

To say Rotherham has been our most difficult away game seems ludicrous to me.

We were in the middle of our typical dogshit start to the season at Boro though. Didn't turn up in that first half.

Against Rotherham we were in the top six and in some relatively solid form.

I wouldn't say Roth was necessarily harder than Boro, but they weren't far apart from one another.

I can see why Wilder said it - Rotherham managed 26 shots again us (26!) and we scraped just 6 ourselves. We actually ended up having more shots than Boro as they took the second half off. Can definitely make the case that we had to work a lot harder against Rotherham - and were still outfought.

I think you’re right, painful though it is to admit it.......:)

I think the reason he said it, was to illustrate that you can take nothing for granted, every point must be earned and position in the table is not necessarily an indicator of how easy or difficult, earning those points will be.

There are no easy games in the Championship and he’s acutely aware that every team is capable of beating each other, if you allow standards to slip. Even fucking Toytown must be treated with respect ;)

Has it?

I remember us getting bummed at Middlesbrough.
I think Wilders’ point is to empathise the fact that one of our hardest games was against someone towards the bottom of the league, hence there’s no easy games. Is wording was perhaps wrong but I’m sure everyone aswell as you Nuddy knew that anyway.

Its not that new wally again who's done the interview is it?

Yes, it was a generalisation to demonstrate how hard the league is. It doesn’t really warrant a nit-picking argument over whether he was absolutely correct, based on a rough transcript of what someone heard.

Boro was the perfect storm of new keeper, new CB, plus dogshit midfield.

The team we put out at Rotherham was a much better outfit who just didn’t turn up for the battle on the day.
