Not to rest any players, but to teach them a lesson. Play badly in the games you seemingly don't care about, then you don't get a game in the ones you do. Our league form has been unacceptable and we can't reward rubbish with high-profile appearances in game that really we could do without.

Howard

Brayford Maguire Kennedy Harris

Dimaio Khan Whitehouse

De Girolamo Miller Calvert-Lewin

Prat post of the day. I suppose the thought of winning and getting more money didn't enter your equation.

Yeah on a new joint stadium with the Pigs. You just know it makes sense...
Can't see it, it's not like we've got anyone with any expertise in developing or owt.

Winning? As crap as Fulham are, they'll be far too good for us. Two teams on Tuesday who have got embroiled in a fruitless 'Cup run' when relegation looms. All we'll get is (more) injuries and suspensions.

I was thinking of going on one of the free coaches. If they pulled up outside my front door and guaranteed to get me home by midnight, they could still fuck off.

Sadly I agree. I was going to take a day off work but would rather use another day off work in the holidays to spend with my son. I applaud those still going away and supporting them but having seen the wins at Bristol and Villa think I'll quit while I am ahead. What is it outside of cup, 1 league win in 9 months away? Not worth the money/hassle sadly.

I tweeted this suggestion earlier to Jim Phipps before this post.

The only thing they will understand is if they are dropped. Something drastic needs to be done.

I was thinking the same thing after today. Next Saturday is now vital we get a win. Putting in a great performance on Tuesday night would just add insult to injury after today. Its all right putting on a show for the cameras against premier league opposition but that will be little comfort when we are playing Accrington Stanley next season.

Why should Clough think if they can't win any of Notts County away, Bradford City home, Crewe Alexandra away, that they can get a result at Craven Cottage?

I will be there and want us to win, but if we do go and get a result then doesn't it put massive question marks over the commitment levels of some players? They shouldn't have the chance to go and impress in a game vs a Prem club on TV if they can't get us the results in the league.

At the end of the day my equation is I don't want us to get relegated, and arguably the FA cup run, far from sparking the team into confident life, has caused us no ends of problems.

There's a throwaway comment at the end of Clough's interview that he might as well play the youth team, they are good at winning cup ties.

He also says next Saturday's game is more important.

I can see Khan, Dimaio, Diego (if fit), Whitehouse and Calvert-Lewin getting a chance. Why not, see if they can cope.

I'm not going so it doesn't matter to me what side they play

I am similar, my son was more keen on going to the replay than I am but he is in Y11 at school so he cannot leave school at midday to catch the coach from BDTBL. I could have had a day off work but I prefer to watch the match on ITV 4 at home with my son.

I read somewhere that Diego has a broken toe so he wont be playing

In Clough's pre match interview he said Diego had hurt his toe against Middlesborough (under 18s I think) in the week. However, he said Diego would travel for the Fulham game. It may be that a broken toe was diagnosed after the interview.

I'm assuming it isn't his big toe and I know from my own experience that you can at a push play with a broken toe if the bruising and pain has gone. They won't risk it if it at all a problem though.

It's on ITV4. That means it will be filmed by Andy Townsend on his iPhone 3. Still, if he keeps his fucking gob shut then at least that will be some small crumb of comfort.
He can't keep his gob shut, he just spouts continual bollocks with no real insight or depth to what he is saying. Another of those so called experts that just get on your tits and make you want to put your foot through the tv. I'd rather listen to Iain Dowie, and he can't even speak. Bring back big Ron itv .........!

Where has it been said that Diego and Dimaio will be travelling? Didn't hear Clough say it in his interview post Crewe.

Drop the fucking lot and play 'the kids'
'We don't need the money' do we?

They deserve dropping...'big time Charlie's'

If people are keen to see the reserves. Tomorrow 3rd, 1pm Shirecliffe v Leeds U21s.

Anybody thinking of going check that its still on before travelling.

Saturdays U18s was called off for waterlogged pitch.

The u16s played and lost 5-1 to Wendy. Was it played on Astroturf?

Not heard or seen anything about u16s, but u18s v wendy was called off friday.

U16s might have played on the back pitch.
