Travelling Blades..

in the "fuckit" post, essexblade mentioned he travelled 200 miles for home games, and it got me thinking, how far do people travel to see the blades, who is the closest, who travels the furthest on a regular basis, who litrally falls out their front door into the ground on match days.
i myself am in S2 (the Manor) so less than 3 miles for me.
just intrested to find out how far people are committed (and lets be honest, we ALL should be ) to the Beloved Blades.

I'll work on the assumption you mean one-way mileage, not total, in which case it's 150 miles up from Hertfordshire. Not bad on the train but a bit of a bugger for evening games when there's no train back. 6 hours (total) driving for 90 mins of dreadful football does make me question my own sanity ever so slightly.

When I do go to home games, it's 120 miles each way.

For HOME games it's over 100 miles for me & mine.

If I want to go to Away games distance is irrelevant, but the word is IF.

I doubt anyone can beat SwissBlade, for (distance travelled x amount attended) = BBQ (Bigger Blade Quotient)

If i do go (And this season it will only likely be 2 trips to BDTBL) then it's a 320 mile round trip. I know a couple of London Based blades who have season tickets.

The drive in from Eckington is about 8 miles and a step forward of 25 years.
