Am I right in thinking we've got 21 players retained in the first team squad ?
Hendo Moore Verrips Baldock Bryan Enda RobinsonJ Egan JoC Bash Berge Lunny Norwood Fleck Osborn FreemanL Sharp Didsy RobinsonC McBurnie Moose.
And some of them don't count to the 25 due to age ?
So apart from regaining or replacing Hendo , we have at least 4 vacancies to fill.
Even if we promote some youngsters they won't count to the 25.
And that's without any offers being accepted for eg FreemanL RobinsonC who would appear the likeliest to move on.
So there is business to be done by CW.
Does retaining eg Verrips & Bryan , who never make the matchday squad , indicate that they could still develop into PL players ?
If Verrips is there just to be a no3 , we may as well put Eastwood in.
My thoughts ?
We need an early decision from ManU re Hendo + then decide on a loan or buy to replace him.
We need cover for CB or RCB.
We need a young striker especially if RobinsonC goes.
We need a creative RMF.
I accept the budget will be hit by Covid + part of it has already been spent in January on Berge.
But as CW always says , standing still is going backwards.

19 of our current 25 are set to be here after the season ends. Add in Callum Robinson maybe to rise to 20. None of the players remaining from the 25 can be listed as U21s for 20/21 – Berge will no longer qualify.

I reckon we might see a couple from the released list offered another year, but that entirely depends on how things go with recruitment.

unless we command decent money for LF and CR, i cant see us selling, it’s alike to selling your stocks in a recession, poor value for us... also depends if CW is happy enough with their respective progress of course

I could see us investing heavily in lower league players again, especially for undervalued players like Osborn and JR... for example I could see us in for Wolfenden for cheap with fees weighted in sell on clauses, i would imagine this is an approach we might see more and more
