Mr Jelly, chill dude! I bring the balm of reason. Contracts end with the month of June, new contracts begin with July. There are almost certainly deals agreed, but most cannot formally sign for us until July. Stay cool, or your eyebrows will melt down to your cheeks.

The way wilder and McCabe are talking they are happy to stay has little old Sheffield United , we can't expect to compete with bournemoth and burnley until we've been up and down for a few seasons. We never have and never will be a ambitious club under this regime.
You can always go back to S6 if you're not happy.

“Wilder has no ambition”

“Unfortunately Chris wilders outburst at the end of the season was all about his salary and nowt to do with budgets, now he's got his contract he will tow the clubs line like all previous managers have do”

“The only worry I have is that if the board don't back the team cw will move to a club that will grow with him , he his very ambitious and won't hang around too long utb.”

Contrarian?
That is what I meant to say, i didn't mean Chris personally has no ambition I meant the club.

And how exactly do you want us to show ambition ? Go out and spend £100m like Fulham ? Maybe but a cheeky bid in for Messi to see if we can tempt him? .... We have ownership issue with 1 owner worth fuck all and the other bleeding money from his other companies(£180M over 2 years).... We was close to administration other year.. so please tell me how you would show ambition in this situation (whilst competing for players with clubs who have more money than you).

And this isn't an attack on you either. I am just curious as to why people are thinking this way. And believe it's as easy as they make out.

Never been there in my life never will Ive been going to the lane for 61 years so i think I know what I'm talking about.
So why is 'this regime' any worse than previous ones?
Or, more to the point, why the fuck are you moaning, because, if like me, you're a long term supporter, you know that "we've never had it so good"

I didn't say it was any worse than previous ones I said they are all the same big club with small ambitions, so wipe your fucking glasses.

Most if not all listed players will get clubs .As money is tight in the EFL clubs will not move early on finalising deals so not picking up the wage tab in summer.

There has been over 100 transfers involving the 1st and 2nd divisions so some clubs appear to be going against your opinion. My point was there is not a great deal of movement in or out at the Lane, incoming is clearly down to money, we are fishing in a completely different pond now, could money(wages) be a factor in moving players on, who knows.

Yep you have a point !. Although we were not big players in the EFL we were paying decent wages that is a factor when trying to move players on who will probably have to take a drop in pay when we try to move em on when still under contract.Boils down to whether they want to sit on there hands and not playing regularly, some will some wont ,but I suppose it's not easy to accept a pay cut which realistically that means.

So we just ended up in the Pl by accident ?

What are we going to do, we do not wish to be here because we have no ambition.

Are you just repeating something you have read on Twitter or have you formed this theory all by yourself after careful consideration.

The vast majority free transfers and released players.

No comparison to the PL dealings really.

I don't imagine any player will take a pay cut for example surplus Player A on 10k/ week at United, transferred to League 1 team who will pay 5k/week. 1 year left on contract at United so is paid off to the tune of 6k week for that year.
Player effectively earns 1k extra a week.
League 1 team get a player on their terms.
United save 4k/week for a year.

Mate, I’ve been going 62 years and I can’t fathom or string 2 feckin words together that make sense about United.

We keep you around for your pie knowledge to be fair.........................

After 61 years of watching the blades I am just reflecting on my time supporting my club , all I was saying that people are expecting a big signing when we can't even get freeman who is a excellent championship player over the line. I will support the blades till the day I die but I have given up hope of ever seeing them win anything. Sorry if I've upset anyone.

We were talking about the seven players who Wilder decided weren't good enough for the Premiership, just checking.

The situation is a a lot worse than I realised, derryblade is posting regularly, and he only posts when things are going wrong.

Just wish we would sign somebody to get the blood levels up a bit. So bored! Even the new shirt , anything!
