Intrigued to know if Wilder had any money to spend or the owners granted him the opportunity to sign any loan players if he found them or have the owners just refused to sanction any incomings ?

I’m sure there are internal machinations at every football clubs but the ones here would probably make Machiavelli blush.

I don’t see any middle ground here. Either the owners have royally dry bummed him or he’s run with it. His reaction should tell us. Until then l’ll go for the former.

Bet Danny is desperate to get hold of him 😀

Ooooooooo Matron !

My opinion is they've tightened the belt another notch and told Bettis and Wilder to work with it.

It’s inexplicable that we leave in a bid for Souttar and then appear to pull back from any spending whatsoever. The budget can be low, but it can’t ever be a moving target. That just screws everybody.

And I don’t buy the conspiratorial stuff that suggests the bid was a pretence. The owners can’t be arsed to come here and they barely communicate. The idea they’re going to concoct a transfer story to appease fans is fanciful when there’s no evidence of them worrying about PR.

So what’s actually changed, and what are they up to? Even the notion they don’t care makes no sense. They spent a lot of money buying the club, so why let it rot?

Strange times.

I’ve said many times Rob Staton is by far the best commentator on there since Paul Walker and also that imo he has never shown any bias against us when covering our games. However if you’ve seen or heard his recent output his pro Pig bias has been well, laughable. He must have cut off or blocked half the callers.
To be honest I rarely listen to RS. It's not that I dont like the station as I say. But I can't be bothered listening to praise and grumble or football heaven these days unless we've won, Wednesday have lost then I might consider it. I like to go on here and watch the YouTube channels on United rather than listen to all the other clubs fans.

It bores me the stuff on whether Rob Staton is biased if I'm honest. It doesn't interest me if he is it isnt as long as he's not anti United.

Sean, mate I respect your posts and opinions other than this one. Staton is undoubtedly fully paid up. Essentially,
not a problem, other than he doesn’t have the minerals to actively admit it. My main issue, given the opportunity he has is the structuring of numerous programmes to talk about Wednesday. My frustration also extends to Giddings as he clearly doesn’t have the Millwalls to deal with the issue. Reluctantl I therefore no longer listen to the programme. However due to the fact that we are in the last knockings of the transfer window I have been listening to try and catch updates. I stupidly tried to listen on Saturday for any snippets on transfers, and opinion on our match but after the pigs momentous win against Bromley the conversation rabidly steered by Staton obviously focused on Wednesday. Consequently the programme became insufferable and unlistenable and had to turn off. Of course he isn’t going to show bias against us in games, I am not questioning his work ethic but be in no doubt 100% pig!

He's anti United. Not very good at hiding it either.

Maybe Wilder is just older.

Before he was an ambitious young (ish) manager and had his career to think about and would regularly battle the Board and the owners to get his own way.

Maybe he’s a bit more mellow in his late 50s and just has worked out more what is worth spending his time on and what isn’t. He regrets leaving before and perhaps he’s appreciative of managing HIS club and thinks of it’s a challenge then I’d rather it be me that faces it than watch on the sidelines and potentially see the club struggle.

Lots of maybes and perhapses there I appreciate.
