The fact we’re the only club in our area in the prem(at the min), means you’ll more than likely get the odd general football fan coming to watch premier league football. Just like if I was unlucky enough to live down south, I’d probably go and watch the odd Chelsea/spurs game

If so, Ricky must have heard reports from a different part of BLUT.

He is assured any chanting and even celebrating goals was decidedly out of place in this particular area.

He is however pleased to hear any reports of vocal support up there and hopes it can continue despite the inevitable infestation.

Always a strange one how some fans struggle to get a ticket, but others promoting their Social Media website, or someone rocks up with the missus and kid despite it been 1 ticket per season ticket holder.
 
I know two wendies that bought season tickets last time ...

Of course it does. My grandad used to take me onto Leppings Lane a lot in the 80's to watch the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and Arsenal when you could rock up and pay, just so i could watch some decent footballers when United were away.

There were loads of spares flying around before the match in various pubs. About half a dozen lads in our carriage on the way down didnt have tickets when they set off but by the time they got to stockport had managed to sort them out! I think stoke even let a few stragglers in without tickets after kick off as there were that many blades stood on the back drinking who didnt bother going into the stands, according to some lads on the way home anyway

we've got three fucking months of this................although there's only a certain number of "what strikers do we sign" so a little bit of joviality won't go amiss.

What if both the missus and kid are season ticket holders? What if the missus has over 60000 points?

If the STs are on 27k, there must have been some new ST buyers because there wasn't 27k ST holders this season.

And in reality, for it to be on 27k, STs this season would actually had to have been more than 27k as naturally some don't renew.

Some will stay.

I started going after we came down from the Prem last time. I stayed all the way through the depths of League One. I recruited mates from Uni who are now ST holders themselves.

We were all new fans at some point. Not all of us had Bladeyness passed down through several generations through birthright.

Only in S2 eh Pinchy ?

I dont they gave a sh*t about loyalty points, they just wanted to go in the match. I've said it on other threads, there's always tickets knocking about for every game, just need to go and ask about and likely to get them, if you dont have the required points. Its really not that hard if you live in and around Sheffield.

For those looking for a reason to be offended, "how come full families are there, have they all got 40k plus loyalty points, including their child, whose gender i wouldn't dare to presume".

I know, but why are tickets that arent needed being bought and why do so many appear on the day, are those with 40k plus just buying tickets to add to their loyalty points for a later date, then selling them on?

Just goes to show the loyalty points system needs reviewing and a cut off date for points need to be sorted.

I'd expect most of those with 40k + points would be season ticket holders. If there is to be a reset for points, let's do it from the first season in L1. See who moans most then.
 
It's infuriating the number of people I know of that have got a season ticket for next year and haven't been to a match at the lane for ages.This means some loyal fans who can only afford to pay on the day & have followed the Blades through the dark days will miss out due to the limited amount available. It happened last time we went into the Prem , I actually know Wednesday fans who bought season tickets then.
 
I personally dont think it is that. i think the spares are people who know people at the club (staff, players, directors) that have a batch or handful given for each game selling them on, when they've been unable to do so before. Some will sell theirs on, but that's more likely to be to a mate when the cant go or arent planning on using the ticket and someone else wants it.

Im bored of the LPS chat (no offence to you) but i reckon if they did a cut off point (i.e. the arbitrary point of L1) not much would change. The same 1500-2000 would still be getting tickets.

Maybe they have sad forward-thinking parents who bought their three month old child a season ticket just so he/she starts building up loyalty points.

Ahem... Foxy.

And forgive me for challenging the assumption that all football fans are single males and that women in the crowd were somehow not worthy of a ticket on their own merit. There was no reason to single out women and children if you're talking about non-regulars who got tickets, there were plenty of faces I didn't recognise.

That's what I've pointed out in the past.

If you have a rolling total, there's not much going to stop people going who have been going solidly for the past 12 years - barring having a child or dying. There's not going to be many spots open up for people languishing on the lower end of the points total.
 
The more fans we get in the ground the better. I also hope to buy a season ticket, that is of course if they become available again.

Saw all the old dears from the official coaches at Stoke. And pretty much every single away game I've been too.
