Tough run of fixtures coming up

Millwall (A) - always a tough place to go, lost last 3 at the New Den with our last win back in 2010. Only beaten them once in 7 attempts both home and away.

Blackburn (A) - moving along well after their promotion. Unbeaten at home. We've not won at Ewood Park since 1986 - 9 games ago.

Hull (H) - Should be wiping the floor with them in all fairness.

Derby (A) - Live on SKY, 5:30pm kick off, currently level on points with us. Tough place to go to, always.

Stoke (H) - Not clicked into gear yet, have a very strong team on paper. They've not won a game away yet. I'd like that to change before they play us.

Wigan (H) - Started off really well, however most of their points have come from home games.

Forest (A) - Always tough against them. Even tougher at the City Ground.

Pigs (H) - Well..

I'm going for 10pts from that lot. The away games look very difficult.

this league is weird and this year in these early days at least , it does look like it could be a free for all and even more open

Agree, it’s not so simple to say which are the difficult fixtures and which are the easy fixtures.

In a way I expect SU to do better in the more difficult fixtures.
We always seem to struggle to break down teams that sit back and park the bus.

Obvuiously there are 24pts on offer, but for me, realistically, the best we can achieve is 15 or 16pts. My gut feeling is 10pts as follows:

Millwall - 1pt
Blackburn - 0pts
Hull - 3pts
Derby - 0pts

Wigan - 3pts
Forest - 1pt

Tough for us, means equally tough for the opposition.

Millwall and Blackburn will again tell us a lot about the team & squad players.

I reckon we'll play our A team v Millwall - which should tell us how good we actually are. We should have got something from Bristol and we MUST get something from Millwall if we are to consider ourselves top 6.

3 points v Millwall may mean CW changes the team for Blackburn (like Brum) - for me the number of changes we actually did v Brum was too many.

As usual the central midfield is absolutely key - we need Fleck and Norwood to stay injury free. Good form from Freeman and Stevens is providing good attacking options now. The defence looks better than last season (sorry Stears!) and even though they conceded v Preston, we still had the quality to win.

All the games in this division are going to be tough - but this season, the opposition will be more worried about how we play football and they will be wary of what we did to Villa.

We are going well, growing into the season.

Those games above - not worried at all.

Four draws out of eight games -- hope not. We don`t do many draws with our attacking game Can see more 3 point results, hopefully in our favour.

mattbianco1 you’ve been posting on here for ages, surely you must realise that posting a set of fixtures and saying we can (and will) win them all is the done thing. If we lose the first one then you come back on and post the rest and declare that “it” (whatever “it” is) starts from there. If not you’re a closet pig or Wilder hater, unless you sign off your post with the immortal Bladey sign off “in Wilder we trust”.

If it means anything I concur with your view that if we get 15 points from that lot we’ve done bloody well.
