Category A as well. And it looks like we're finally getting a team that's worthy of this level of support.

Good to see and to move the discussion on a bit I think the club has a bit of an issue with seats available and the quality of those seats available. If we do happen to go up this season, then away fans should be shuffled down to BLLT giving more choice to our fans. We won't need masses of fans going away from BDTBL saying " brilliant view, thanks for a stand that makes lots of noise and the 3 points".

We said even yesterday that the size of the gate must have surprised club officials, because theyd have been better off giving us the BL/ Westfield upper tiers. Maybe they'd have got a few more casual fans in and also support on the 4 sides.Good to see and to move the discussion on a bit I think the club has a bit of an issue with seats available and the quality of those seats available. The stewards and Police kept getting into brawls with the away fans when they were on the BLLT. I belive it was "Police Advice" (Police threats to close the stand) that had them move the away fans onto the upper tier.

Agreed mate 100%Yes agree. We need to encourage more fans who want to pick odd games and not be just told - "sorry, only poor quality seats on the kop in a corner". I have a long standing issue with the kop design and it's in-suitability for tall people.
I know the club talks about 3K seats at the back of the kop, but I think it's folly.
As an example the new main stand at Liverpool (according to the management) has a Return on Investment (ROI) of 5 years due to the higher prices for quality seats and the amount of hospitality that can be generated. When also questioned about the extension to their Anfield Road stand - they said ROI was 20 years, so it won't be considered for quite a while.
If we get back to the Prem, our club should do the South Stand first, and although more expensive the ROI would make it worth while as well as the "main" element of the club look Premier class as against the R&W painted stuff we have now.

Bugger the south stand and ROI. The Kop should and must be the main priority. A bit of leg room and no bloody great big post blocking a third of the goal like it was for me yesterday should be the absolute bare minimum a paying customer should expect in this day and age.Yes agree. The extra 3k seats will be at a steeper rake than the existing seats with a new quality concourse and facilities. The kop needs dropping and rebuilt properly - not a load of concrete put on top of earth. The problem of leg room can only be resolved this way.
Don't have a problem with a complete rebuild - but adding 3K seats at the back is a pathetic, half baked, cheap solution that will not solve the original problem.
I am a great supporter of my team, and I am not frightened to say that whilst H'boro is old, the design of the ground and what is available to punters is way in front of United. Still time for us to do it right..........easy to make the wrong decisions, just takes courage to make the right decisions.

Edited for you, I'm sure you didn't mean punters.
Not in the first half, apparently. Our comfortable 2-0 win will drive away the newcomers and another 5,000 existing customers. Disgraceful.
Comfortable my arse.
And would you like a small wager on the next home attendance after the festive period?
Yes mate. I like a bet. What are your terms?
It was comfortable. 61% possession and ahead in the usual stats. We weren't at our best but, contrary to your rather fervent reaction, it wasn't crap. I've seen a great deal of crap from United, I know what it looks like. The last half hour was fine, once we'd dropped a passenger off. It wasn't great by the higher standards of this season but even the very best do not fire on all cylinders every game. Expectations have to be within reason, or they'll never be fulfilled. This is a very good Blades team. We ought not to gratuitously undermine it.
I'm afraid those good ole stats are often very red herrings, and we both know the classic "There are lies, damn lies and statistics".
I maintain the first half was crap with little serious movement or desire from anyone in the midfield with the possible exception of Duffy, and EEL was our best player at half time which says a lot.
Obviously Wilder lit some fuses at h/t but even then it took a lot of gamesmanship by Oldham and the introduction of Clarke to get us up and running.
Yes we deserved the 3 points, but we need to take the game by the scruff of the neck from the get go and make teams beg for forgiveness at home, especially a side bottom of the league that actually played an open game so no parking the bus excuses.
Anyway,back to post festive.
How about £20 on the gate against Gillingham on the 21st. If I'm right that's our next home game after Northampton.
I'm happy to donate any winnings on my part to the S2 website, and I know you already put money their way so that's not relevant should you win.
I reckon the gate will be a full 5k less than Boxing Days. If you find these terms acceptable great. If you have an alternative suggestion please chuck it back to me.
Give it a rest you boring twat.
Stick a knife in your head and have done with it, if you're that fucking miserable.
Fuck sake, it's Christmas and the Blades are 2nd and flying.

I'll have a think, mate. The fact is of course that the crowd won't be as big. People always turn out in greater numbers on Boxing Day at all clubs. Smaller attendances thereafter are inevitable and no indicator at all of dissatisfaction or otherwise. People have forked out for two holiday games. The less committted will give this one a miss in any event. So, yes, it will be a smaller gate, but that won't have anything to do with us playing "crap" even though we didn't, if you see what I mean. In addition it's Gillingham, about as unattractive and poorly supported as it gets. So I'm thinking you could be about right and I don't bet against myself! If you are right, however, it won't begin to prove the point that I suspect you will seek to make, rather a reflection of the above factors.
On other matters, we really don't need an excuse for a 2-0 win, do we?
