I’d put Warnock ahead of Wilder for man management. Tactics is probably closer than you suggest if you take the last twelve months into account. For the tactical flexibility, I don’t see how Wilder gets anything, let alone win it!

For transfers, Warnock needs two separate categories for strikers (2/10) and other positions (8/10).

Needs an "entertainment" field. You could an entire pack of about 30 cards since John Harris. knowing my luck I'd draw Nigel Adkins, Adrian Heath and David Wier

Never was a big fan of Neil and I'm not sure he deserves a 9 for achievements. Surely a relegation wipes out a promotion meaning he achieved the square root of jack shit ?

My best moment watching the Blades under Neil was an ex-Wednesday player scoring an own goal

Good but needs a section for most time spent in the stands and comedy rating.

Warnock a six or seven on the fan rating and probably an 8 for achievement tbh. But aside from that pretty solid.

It did take Warnock around seven seasons to get us promoted out of the Championship
It took Wilder two we also managed to stay in the PL under Wilder

I wouldn’t have Warnock as 8 for fan rating he split opinions and took loads of stick if I remember, I’d have him on a 6

I think warnock definitelt split opinion in terms of the fans but I’d almost certainly say he was better at the man management side of the game. Just listening to all the interviews/podcasts of the ex-United players from that era, and Geoff Horsefield aside, they all absolutely love him. It seems like his man-management would win games single handedly.

Who knows, I imagine one day we will hear similar interviews where this era of players talk about Wilder in the same vein.

Warnock probably was limited tactically but he’s won promotion time and time again so he clearly gets the job done. Wilders achievements with us were probably more impressive in terms of the rapid rise and we certainly attacked the Premier League much better than we did under Warnock, it’s just unfortunate that this season has been way worse than watching a Warnock side in the premier league.

In football parlance, Warnock aint fit to lace Wilder's boots. CW is a Rolls-Royce of a manager, Colin (or Mr Wanker to his friends) is more of a three wheel reliant robin.

Let's be reyt if covid wouldn't have hit these shores and we'd have had fans in the ground, this season would have panned out very differently with United comfortably mid-table if not higher.

Our owner has just forced out the best British manager!!! If the English FA had any sense (yes I know) they'd sack Southgate and get Wilder in pronto.

Wilder got us off our knees and in a few short years gave us some amazing times before it all went wrong.
However, there's no getting away from the fact that Warnock is a good manager. He's also a great cartoon character in the style of Hanna Barbera or Warner Brothers in that you can't keep him down and he keeps coming back for more. I've tried to dislike him but he's like that bonkers uncle who buys you beer when you're 12 and gives you a catapult or BB gun for a laugh!! I don't like his politics, some of his attitudes, and some of his football tactics, but he still makes me laugh in a cartoon footy manager way, and I still remember some good times with him as manager.

That's true. No matter how many anvils fall on his head he is still a 'go to' manager for clubs.
