I will be very happy if we see sign Cannon on perm. Bit if we have 7 million to spend, surprised we don't just go in for Diaz. Its rare to get a striker at that price with such a solid record behind him and still at good age ( plus what he already showed for us lady season in the Prem). I have not seen much of Cannon, but if they think he has more value than BBD and it turns out right, it will be a cracking signing.

Personal terms supposedly agreed just need to agree terms with his club
Or..........

Heard earlier today that Cannon met with the club for talks this afternoon. All promising stuff!

Sunderland make loan with obligation bid to sign Tom Cannon, with a fee of £13m should we get promoted. (@reluctantnicko) #SAFC

Loan with £13m guaranteed on promotion apparently

So Sunderland have to sort that tonight if he goes to them.

The clause in his loan to Stoke is apparently has to be recalled before the 15th if he’s to be loaned elsewhere but anytime in Jan if he’s sold out right.

So we could buy him later in the week if the Sunderland deal doesn’t happen.

We might say £7m plus some some additional payments on promotion to get it done if Leicester prefers straight sale now.
Sooooooo, if Sunderland don't go up, Leicester have just lost £7m?

Or..........

However according to the Stoke forum, Cannon was seen at the Stoke training ground this afternoon so it’s probably made up.
However someone did reply he could have been at Stoke for training, then later caught a chartered flight to Sunderland.

The "obligation" bit is where they might come unstuck

They then have to take the whack of 13mil for him, and potentially end up with a player not prem ready - and because they've spent 13 they'll want to make a profit, so will struggle to resell

He’d return to Leicester for them to sell in the summer - or use him themselves should they be relegated.

They want a loan, with an obligation to buy him for £13m if they are promoted

(Apparently)

Which is why it needs to be done tonight for them, as the recall deadline is for Leicester to be able to loan him to someone else.

And what is their proposal if they are not promoted? ….a big fat zero!

I love this idea of flying from Stoke to Sunderland. On a charter. I mean, there is a beach in Sunderland I'll give you that....but I doubt you'll get a deal on an all inclusive there....

In what universe is anyone bidding near double the next highest offer

Jesus, our fans are tighter than a ducks arse.

They think £7m is expensive for a 1 in 2 striker, then pay £1.75 for a loaf of Warburton's....

ITS NOT 1995 ANYMORE
Brewster's record was better than that. In itself, over after a few games, it's a crap measure.

Well no, he's scored 5 goals in open play this season. So that would make him a championship Alex Iwobi. Except he can't run.
He can't run🤔
Is he carried onto the pitch?
If you watch Hal's well researched assessment of him on SU Way,he has evidence that contradicts your sweeping statement👍

Well...

Those matchworn shirt auctions...

I thought they were like eBay where you set your maximum bid and it ticks up as others bid.

Arblasters debut at WBA in the cup, his shirt was at like £20. So I put £250... Anyway, long story short, I own Arblasters debut shirt.

I imagine if Sunderland really had offered to pay that much that Cannon would have been flown up wrapped in so much cotton wool to avoid the slightest dent that he would look like the huge marshmallow from Ghostbusters as he turned up for medical

All for a good cause!

Up and down the graph we go. As it is, is as it ever will be:

I reckon we're just beyond the 2nd Yellow in the particular journey. Better to hold on and enjoy the ride.

So u think, you know those matchworn sites have previously offered 'matchworn shirts ' that players are known to have never worn, given away to charity or thrown into the crowd.

Unless you can guarantee it's 100% the actual matchworn shirt from that game... be VERY careful!

They come with players signatures on them and certificates of authenticity.

There's only a few games a season where MatchwornShirts.com sponsor the sleeves of the shirt.
I'm pretty sure that in those particular games the players are instructed not to give their shirts away.

The club always promote the games in which the auction will take place also
