There is some time left in the window but the squad (not just the defence) seems "stuck between two systems".
Some decent players have come in but I hope we are far from finished.
The defence has both CBs & FBs suited to a 5 but we are going with 4.
Hamer is stuck out on LW.
We've no real cover for Souza.
And no cover for Moore.
I can't see Brewster or Campbell playing a solo role up top , nor being much use as a pair.
JRS looks a fabulous winger but that's only one flank.
I'm pretty sure we'll get offers for Hamer , Blaster , Anel & Souza , so it's going to be an extremely complex few days at the end of the window.
Of course , we don't know what the £ situation is , so it's virtually impossible for us fans to predict.

Stating the obvious but whilst we've made some decent signings on paper. We still have recruitment work to be done.

And should we lose a Hamer or the like we will be weaker for it as we won't be able to replace with equivalent quality.

Be surprised if Blaster left. I don't think he will be wanting to go. And I also don't think clubs will be wanting to pay more than say £15m?
At this current time.... And yet if he has a good season that figure doubles, especially given he's English.

Back on topic though. Come Aug 31st let's see how comfortable we are with our squad. And we will have played another 2 matches and you'd like to think this squad has got alot of room for improvement still.

Cannon won't get much of a look-in at Leicester this year. It would be a wasted season if he stayed - a loan to a top-end Champ side would be his best bet. I'm just now sure how many opportunities he'd get at Utd - it would only be as cover for Moore - sub and cover if Moore is injured/suspended/reaches red zone.

If you don’t play Gilchrist at RB, where do you play him? Centrally with Souttar? That’s OK if you don’t want a left footer there. If you do want a left-footer then let’s hope that RND is ready to come back, cos you don’t want JLT at LCB do you??? But where would you play Gilchrist?
This team looks fab going forward but would probably concede too many…you could put Brooks in for Campbell and have him play on the left of Blaster and Hamer, making a 4-3-2-1, which is defensively more solid but you’d lose a lot of attacking flair.
Again, if we’re heading towards four at the back, I think we still need more new recruits.

i think especially in home games arblaster can be the one to sit allowing hamer to play a bit further up the pitch and linking with ohare

thats a better option imo it seems to me we have moved hamer to accomodate his pal o'hare yes he set both goals up against qpr from the left but apart from the run down the byline in 2nd half he just didnt have enough influence on the game
