yes and that fact says we should be playing him further up the pitch 🤔
Until Watford he hasn't let us down defending either though. He's looked better defensively than his understudy as well.
I just think it's another that shouldn't be messed around with since our defence is so strong.
If we lose Souttar, swap Alfie and move Burrows, then we've decimated our back 4 that has been so solid.

We won’t spend a bean this window only loans.

Hopefully you’re right, that would be sensible and show we have competent owners.

Many fans want their clubs to ignore FFP rules and spend substantial amounts building up debt, just like what Chansiri did at SWFC.
If it results in promotion then everyone is happy, if that team doesn’t get promoted then they are likely to face a points deduction and years of struggle.

We (and the owners) need to pick a middle ground regards ambition and plan for if we don’t get promoted when our income significantly decreases next season.
So we should be looking to cut costs next season not increasing them.

I keep asking this but don't seem to get a response, not necessarily of you I hasten to add, but how close to FFP limits are we?
I can't see how we're particularly close given the money brought in during the summer, particularly for Osula who is an academy product, I think we've got a significant amount of wriggle room.

All the above doesn't mean that I don't agree that I'd much rather have sensible competent owners who are here for the long term project, not a bang and bust approach.

Think we're all getting a little tired of how long it takes for united to get deals done. I appreciate there's a lot to be sorted with any transfer but I was hoping under the new board we may be faster than previously.
I've just listened to Jimmy Ramble and his explanation of "moving parts".
There was (all his words not mine) a deal in place for BBD when the Prince was here. A loan with an OPTION to buy. When Saints got rid of their manager and it disrupted things but didn't change the deal. Just before the window opened Sunderland made a bid of "loan with OBLIGATION to buy". As I write this I can't actually remember if the obligation only came into play if they got promoted. Now BBD has come out and said he'd only come to us (or stay with the Saints) so something are definitely out of our hands I suppose.
That said, Wilder has described one transfer as "ridiculous" and if it isn't this one, it's probably the Choudhury one that was also reported to be done before the window even opened.

Given the speed at which the takeover was completed....... unlikely.
