We want the next Cairney not the current one. Mobility is also a huge issue with our midfield and he isn't the answer to that.

Most issues have already been stated above, no doubt a talented player but when you break it down I think there are too many risks to this. His age, recent injury, probable high fee & wages, no re-sale value, plus he is not what you would call an athletic player, all adds up to a huge risk for us, one I personally don't think is worth taking.

The fee reported sounds like a lot but if you look at what most blades value fleck 15_20 million and he's only a year older than fleck it's not that bad,I don't know if he's injury prone or whatever but as stated before it's ultimately Slavs decision

We can’t be spending that much on a 30 year old to be honest. with our finances like they are we need some resale value out of players if we don’t make it straight back up.

the likes of ramsdale and berge should at least hold most of their value and even Brewster and mcburnie you’d argue we should get about half of what we paid for them back.

We would be paying 10m plus and large wages to essentially loan him for a few seasons until he drops of a cliff age wise. Given the resources we’d be as well seeing how like Freeman performs when given an actual chance.
