Agree with the rest but if you think we are not losing hard core fans who care deeply about the club and have watched United for decades then I think you underestimate the long term damage that has been and is being done to United.

The Blades I know who have gone from STs and most away games to a handful of games a season (I admit including me) saw our slide into the fourth division.

In the last few years we've lost passion, identity, direction, entertainment and ambition (and many a hard core Blade) and instead we have boredom, apathy, pointlessness and too much accetpance ofbeing shit.
Absolutely spot on. 2 years ago there were 5 of us all long-term STs holders and we did nearly every away game as well. None of us have STs anymore and we've been to about 20 homes in total between us with me doing about a dozen of those. Spending my money on things I want rather than out of a sense of loyalty and I like the the variation of doing different things on a Sat, it will take a major upheaval in playing standards linked with proper administration of the club by an owner who actually give us fuck to get me and others like me back on anything other than and ad-hoc basis.

Just thought this deserved bumping seeing as it was mentioned in the other thread.

Undoubtedly the greatest opening post in the history of this great website.

And to think we've actually gone backwards since THAT.

all teams go through,,,,, rough spells
being a Villa fan just now wont be a pleasant experience,
but 90 per cent of clubs suffer periods of being lack lustre
some its a year , some its 5 some 10
Rochdale , had 50 odd years of division four , where beating york 3=0 was a moment to treasure

hull burnley palace preston huddersfield wolves bolton oldham burnley blackpool northampton swindon carlisle bury lincoln swansea bournemouth bradford notts county cardiff
barnsley millwall wimbledon fulham and coventry, have all been in the top league and all been in division 4, some more than others having good days and bad days
we are not the only club to have a few average seasons

I didn't think that even you could have dragged out positive out of that but credit where credits due, amazing post.
